GLB 71006A-02 Filter Cleanse for Swimming Pools, 2-Pounds, 2-Pack

Cleans reuseable filters and cleans regular disposable filters. I got a rubbermaid because of a review on here. Totally worth it because the stuff works for ever, it changes color when it stops working. It cleans everything like hard scale soap scummy type its the best stuff. I ordered reuseable filters (tired of paying for filters) and I take one out and soak it over night spray it off the next day with a hose and its literally brand new. I will say that the reusable filter has more folds (twice more) than regular and it cleaned them spotless and they were tightly pushed together so it works. I can clean them several times using a rubbermaid tub. Put a capful of granules in a tub just big enough to cover your filter in water. I use it over and over til the water is no longer purple.

I've tried another product for my cartridge cleaner but I didn't feel it worked very well. It was convenient to buy it at my local pool store but I felt it was $25 down the drain. My pool store used to carry GLB products and I swear by them, unfortunately they've switch products when they changed owners. I found amazon to have the best price for this GLB filter cleaner. It's simple and easy to use on my cartridge filter. I use the extra large 5 gallon buckets from my chlorine tablets - fill it with hot water, add the filter cleaner and my cartridge filter, flip it over a couple times to soak each end and when the water changes from red to yellow, I know it's clean. Works great! Won't buy another filter cleaning product.

This particular filter cleaner can be reused and stored, saving lots of money in the long run over most of the other similar type spa products. We put the solution in a used cat litter bucket (plastic, w/lid) and let it sit for months at a time. As long as the solution is still red it's working, and if it fades too much you just add a little more. These directions are not on the label, by the way; I learned this great tip from our friend Vern at Dugger Pools in Bethalto, Illinois.

I've never used a product to clean the sand in my pool filter before. The gunk that bubbled to the top was disgusting!! Cleaning the sand with this product helped clear up a problem I'd been having with white mold. Definitely recommend

I put this in a plastic bucket with some water- put in the dirty filter let it soak- comes out like brand new. Pull out clean filter , put dirty filter in to soak, rinse repeat! I have left filters in it for months and they are always ready to go . Definitely a better value than other filter cleaners that I have tried. Keep my hot tub filters working well.

I was worried the sand in my filter had gone past it's use. My pool was so cloudy no matter what I did. Dumped this into the filter and POOF! My pool was crystal clear thru the summer. I used one for a 30k gallon pool.
