Rockworth RW1504ST2-AZ Factory Reconditioned Portable Electric Air Compressor, 4-Gallon, Black

I bought this unit as a refurb. Read up on the reviews and took a chance as some of the reviewers said they got rusty units. I paid like 25% of the full price and got a great compressor. I have only used it about 5 times, mostly air brush painting. Gives a good even flow of air and the 4 gallon tank allows me to work in peace and quiet until the tanks need to be filled up again. The tanks fill up quickly as well so the compressor is decent on this unit. I fully recommend buying a refrubished unit. UPDATE: Now July 8th 2013 and have used the compressor for several other things, yesterday filled up a kiddie pool in no time flat. One of the wheels feel off, looks like it was just loose and can be screwed in again with no issues. Still a great deal for the price and working like a champ.

Rockworth in the states is not to common. A little back ground check revealed that Rockworth is sold in the U.K and Europe. In the states it is known as Husky. I read all the reviews and don't know about some of these folks. I have not had my unit to long, but it runs every day all day, no problem as of yet. Packaged real good,after opening and taking unit out,it looked like it just came off the line. No dents,scratches,broken parts or the like. Unit runs good, I use for finish nailer and it sets a 1" crown x 5/8" corrigated fastner. For my face frames. It did have plastic wheels which are round and they do roll.For the $"s spent and what i got, no complaints thus far.Iv'e been in carpenter trade for 50+ yrs. Used all kinds of compressors,from the big boys down to this little guy, and I'm glad i bought this Rockworth.Youall have some fun and be BAD.. Smoothbore00. Just for the record AMAZON price wise and customer follow up beat the H--l out of the big box stores,thats why i check with AMAZON before i spend to much... Just give them one chance you won't be sorry....l

This compressor has a great design and is ideal for most homeowners. I like that it has two outlet valves, that makes it unique. The compressor also builds up to 160 psi., most only go up to 125 psi. The unit also is well balanced and fairly quiet. The extendable handle is very unique and helps save the back while transporting. The packaging of this unit was very secure and helped to keep the product safe while in shipping. I am very pleased with this purchase and overall performance of this product. Thanks again Amazon!!

It's useless. The first broke in two weeks and so did it's replacement. Customer service at CPO was great. I'll buy from them again but this compressor is garbage

As per my original order, I selected the "RED" colored model ROCKWORTH RW1504ST-CP 1.5 for $99. A few days later, I checked my order status, and the above Subject/Titled "BLACK" air compressor RW1504ST2-AZ for $120 appeared on my order. First thought was, the RED color may no longer be available and will probably ship me the replacement BLACK colored compressor. It arrived nine days after placing order and opened the box and it was the "RED" model. Nonetheless, no worries. As per the instructions, I broke it in by running for 10 minutes with tank valves in open position(no pressure buildup). Let it cool for 5 minutes, closed tank valves, and ran to build pressure. The compressor's loudness is acceptable. Its not whisper quiet like much higher priced compressors of similar size. I have experienced similar compressors in size and price to be much louder. The pressure build up was very good; 100 psi was under 2 minutes and 155 psi(max) was approx. 2.5 minutes. I was able to adjust the pressure valve for desired output pressure while viewing pressure gage. Compressor is reasonably compact and very portable. The wheels were reasonably straight, not cambered as others may have experienced. Has a extendable pull handle and a fixed grab handle on top. Small storage compartment on top side for accessories etc. The power switch(red) has a clear rubber dust cover. My only complaint was the paint on the lower tank, front side and the top grab handle were dull, sanded look or scraped, most likely from the box rubbing it during shipment. Would have given it 5 stars. I give it a 4-1/2 stars. Overall, happy with compressor and would recommend for its value and function.

Thought I would give a shot after reading some of the reviews they were mixed. Followed the break in procedure of running for 10 minutes with drain valves open. Went to fill it up , not bad fills up fairly quick, it cuts out at around 160psi , which is fine. I turned the pressure regulator up and noticed air leaking. tore it apart and come to find its leaking from the small cheaply made plastic hose that goes between the pressure regulator and the outlet manifold. i decided instead of sending it back and going through all the hassle of that to get about a 15" chunk of 3/8" soft copper and a couple brass compression fittings, in place of the cheap plastic hose with garbage plastic compression fittings. i used two 1/4" mip to 3/8" OD compression fittings and worked no problems no more leaks. Hmmm, if only for that one low grade cheap part, this would have been an awesome deal for 100 bucks, because the rest of the compressor is pretty solid, even for a rebuilt one, Now its just an ok compressor for the money, unless your willing to fix a poorly engineered part like that. sometimes you get what you pay for when companys try to cut cost by being cheap. oh well it works great for me now at least...

I bought mine for $99.99 January 2014, almost 8yrs next month and it has never let me down, keeps pumping air nice and strong whenever I need air for my tires it’s been a great item to have and a long lasting purchase! Key thing is to never leave air in the tanks, they produce moisture that can lead to rust and corrosion so make sure to empty them out after every use and it will last you a life time! Hope this helps future buyers!

Bought this baby two and a half months ago and used it right of the box for about an hour. next week, loaded in back of my truck for out of town work and seemed fine. I turned it off and stored it in my shop with 150 psi in tank. did not use it again. Jan 31st I was in the shop and looked at the gauge, still at 150psi! topped off my tires on car and truck and good to go! I love my Rockworth! works fine for gentle blow-down work on electronics also! going to get a med size Nailer this week to go with my system! Tires on this thing were cheap, so I replaced them with a heavy duty set! Life is sweet when you can rock and "roll"!
