Bosch 00631200 Dishwasher Drain Pump

Perfect fit for my Bosch SHX68T55UC/07. I watched a bunch of YouTube repair videos and it seemed easy enough, so I ordered this part. Turns out this dishwasher model is bit more enclosed on the bottom, so only access to this pump was on the right side. At first I thought it was too tight for me to fit my hand in and perform the install, but I gave it a try and to my surprise I was able to turn the old/failed drain pump counter-clockwise to remove it. Then I got this new drain pump in the same spot and was able to turn clockwise to install. (Be sure to double-check you got the pump all the way in so you don't get a leak. After I made my install, I double-checked and I'm glad I did because the far side wasn't in all the way. It was impossible to see because how enclosed my dishwasher is, so you have to feel around to make sure its in all the way.) About 30min of effort and my dishwasher works like new again. With the old drain pump, it had been loud for months and finally stopped draining the dishwasher (posted error E25). This new drain pump is quiet and has no problems. I run my dishwasher on a daily basis, so my 2016 Bosch gets lots of use. I was so happy to find out that I could replace this part myself and for about $25. I can only imagine how expensive calling a repair person would have been.

I tried an off brand, and couldn’t get it to work. This one fit right in and does the job! Be sure to press in firmly.

So far so good. My part number/date actually matched one of the photos for this unit so I purchased this one. The price was right in the middle of the other offerings. Tested it with a couple of rinse cycles and worked well. We’ll see how long it lasts.

Pump was defective when received. Not realizing this, I spent an hour installing. When that didn’t solve the problem, I was forced to call a repairman. He tested the pump I had installed and confirmed that it was defective. He installed a functioning pump and charged me $300. He also mentioned that parts ordered from Amazon have a very high rate of being defective. Whole thing was very disappointing. I should have known better when the pump arrived in a plastic bag. It certainly wasn’t packaged like an approved manufacturer’s replacement part.

This is an original Bosch part, AND it came one day earlier than expected. After checking there were no clogs that would prevent proper and complete draining I suspected the issue was with the pump. At $40 I figured I would take a chance and ordered one. That indeed was the culprit. Make sure you lubricate not only the O-rings on the new pump but also on the inside of the housing when replacing the old one with the new. It will make the installation just a bit easier.

The pump arrived with the cable clip broken. I put it onto our SHX5AEM5N dishwasher and works fine. Installation was easy, probably 20 minutes total.

Die Pumpe sieht ähnlich aus wie das Original und auch der aufgedruckte Hersteller ist identisch. In meinerm Fall war die Pumpe jedoch nicht defekt, sondern der Ablaufschlauch sowie der Schlauch zwischen Pumpe und Wassertasche war verstopft. Der Tausch der Pumpe kann ohne Ausbau des Geschirrspülers erfolgen. Vorausgesetzt man hat davor ausreichend Platz. Denn der Tausch erfolgt dann im Liegen durch eine kleine Öffnung am Boden. Dies Pumpe ist mittels Bajonett-Verschluss montiert. D.h. für den Tausch an sich ist kein Werkzeug erforderlich. Zum Öffnen der Front jedoch schon. Auch habe ich mehrere Versuche benötigt, um die Pumpe dann korrekt einzubauen, da der Bajonett-Verschluss bei auf beiden einrasten muss. War nicht einfach. Das nun erneut reparierte Gerät ist Bj. 2016 und wurde nun zum 3. oder 4. Mal repariert. Zuvor gab es mehrfach Probleme mit der Abdichtung vom Pumpentopf, den ich mehrfach nachgezogen habe und den Raum unter der Spülmaschine reinigen musste, damit Aquastop die Wasserzufuhr wieder freigab. Zum Glück gab es dann irgendwann diesen Reparaturset mit der Silikondichtung und dem Draht, mit dem ich dieses Problem effektiv beheben konnte. Das Gerät funktioniert jetzt wieder. Wenn auch nur eingeschränkt. Im Rahmen der Reparatur musste ich den Wassertasche demontieren, da ansonsten der Ablaufschlauch nicht demontierbar gewesen wäre. Leider ist meine Wassertasche so stark verschmutzt, dass eine Reinigung nicht möglich ist. Dafür war natürlich ein Ausbau aus der Küchenzeile erforderlich. In meinem Fall habe ich großen Wert darauf gelegt, dass das Gerät Made in Germany ist. Steht auch drauf "Extraklasse". Die Wassertasche kostet als Ersatzeil um die 100€. Mache ich nicht! Das war mein letztes BSH-Gerät. Vor dem Kauf des Geschirrspülers hatte ich mir einen Trockner aus dem Hause Miele gekauft, da das Top-Gerät von Siemens nach 9 Jahren und bestimmt 6 Reparaturen aufgegeben wurde. Ich hatte mir eigentlich danach vorgenommen nie wieder was von BSH zu kaufen. Leider hatten die regionalen Händler kein passendes Gerät für mich. Der Miele Trockner sieht noch aus wie neu und hatte noch keinen defekt. Ist jetzt aber auch 9 Jahre alt. Und lief in eienem 5-Personenhaushalt!

This new pump was easy to swap out (once I learnt how to on Youtube) and works great. Why did I need a pump? Drainage error code with evidence of undrained water at the bottom of the dishwasher prompted me to clean out the filter (from top) and access the pump (from bottom). I found strips of plastic in the filter and entwined on the rotor, concluded it was undissolved plastic film from the liquid detergent pods. Read up that sometimes the plastic does not dissolve completely and can even build up as sludge in the pipes. Cleaned old pump, but it kept on struggling, so concluded it was damaged. Swapped out with the new pump and switched to hard pods without plastic covering. Dishwasher works great again!
