I was hesitant to order this product given some of the negative comments about quality, spotting and/or melting. I am so glad I ordered directly from the Hawaii location. These were as perfect as the ones I purchased in Hawaii. Do not buy other competitive products if you have been happy with this brand (Mauna Loa). I made the mistake of trying other brands from big box stores and retail outlets hoping for a match. There is no match. Stay with the original. A bit expensive yet worth every penny in my opinion.

I ordered these macadamia nut chocolates to give to my friends because I went to Hawaii and it was cheaper for me just to get them from Amazon Instead of bringing them from Hawaii. Well, that was a big mistake!!! I received these, and they are white, airy, and they are the most disgusting chocolates I’ve ever had in my entire life. Even with the macadamia nut in it. I am so disappointed in this order. I didn’t think to look at the reviews first, but I should have. Note to self - will be doing that for every single product I ever buy from Amazon ever again. Never Take for granted A brand name like Mauna Loa - Yikes! .*** UPDATE *** After weeks of them Pretending they were going to do something about this, They are now trying to blame the carrier for their rotten chocolates. So basically, no refund! This is what they sent me… they want Me to file a claim with USPS - instead of being accountable for their rotten chocolate. You can see the pictures I posted. This has nothing to do with the carrier, and it has everything to do with the manufacturer and distributor. Please make sure to tell all your friends and family to never purchase this product, no matter where you are. They have no integrity and only sell rotten product to make money off of you. i’ve always loved this brand of chocolate covered macadamia nuts. they bring me back to my childhood. they are absolutely delicious and can be pretty addicting.

The macadamia nuts were really good.

Last year our order, from this vendor, was perfect. This year, the chocolate had the whitish cast indicating partial melting, and the texture was hard and not very creamy. There was no expiration date on the boxes so I couldn’t determine how fresh it was. We will eat it, but it was definitely not gift worthy and I’m relieved that no one except immediate family received this.

Always happy to share this set with others. Makes for a fun group gift, and nice way to share aloha on the mainland.

A little pricey but worth it !

Product was close to what I expected, but that was my issue. Taking 3 weeks to arrive was not what I was expecting when I ordered. When order confirmed it said 3 weeks and it arrived in 3 weeks but I would have not ordered it if that long.
