Small box, big fun dungeon-crawler
Great little game - satisfyingly tough to win, has a very small footprint & lots of replayability as well as having a campaign mode to allow you to develop your characters for your next games. Even if you lose, you’ll still build them up to better cope next time!

Good but..
A well put together little game. Good reliability and fun with friends. Can get a bit boring after lots of plays but thats why they have expansions... I enjoyed it.

Tiny box but lots of fun for the fans of the genre.
Good card quality. The token are now of plastic and not wooden. The hearts a bit too big for my taste. The game is fun but not easy to learn. I played it coop with my 10y boy and we enjoyed it.

Very good small game as expected
The game is great, it requires a couple of plays before you are able to remember various things. I'm now playing the campaign alone, very happy about the purchase.

Good for gaming on the go
It really is just one deck... And a few dice! The game is easy to learn and also incredibly punishing, do not expect to breeze through this. I get wiped out nearly everytime I play and it's not even close. I've practically died within 5 minutes on some attempts. In a game were skill and mitigation make that feel like your fault I can handle it, in this game it just feels unlucky. Very portable and reasonably fun to play, it's worth popping in your bag if you'll have time to kill but as a game it's average at best.

Standalone game or combine with original for bigger game.
This adds a completely unique deck of obstacles/rewards to One Deck Dungeon. It can be played as a standalone game as it includes all the rules for play, or it can be combined with the original game to build a bigger dungeon or 4-player dungeon. New bosses, new heroes, new skills and potions and the inclusion of a poison system.

Good little game in a small box
I’m pretty new to modern type of board games, and wanted something small and 1-2 players. This ticked all boxes, and even arrived in a small box. Easy to setup, but definitely not easy to beat, the luck of the dice. Have played it solo so far, I’ll try talking the wife into having a game next time. Worth buying. The quality of the wooden tokens is good, as is the quality of the cards, although one of my cards had a missing corner out of the unopened pack. Doesn’t affect gameplay.

Such a good game.
Love it. Go on Gameboardgeek.com to have rules clarified. Then enjoy. I play solo, but with two heroes. Luck and strategy. A lot of fun in a small box.

This is a fun little dice roller with multiple ways to play. The campaign mode is particularly interesting as it awards points for distribution on a campaign card. Filling these out allows you certain perks like an extra potion or an extra basic skill at the start of the game for the specific character you are campaigning with. These little perks make a big difference in your ability to complete a dungeon. It also allows for multiple players to play and keep track of their own 'campaign'. Dice rolling is of course 'risky' in that you don't control the dice. The game allows you to manipulate the dice through the use of skills and awards you more dice for taking items. The leveling system, item system, skill system, potions and XP are all built into the cards themselves, simply by exposing the desired portion of the card under the appropriate location on your character card (while the rest is 'buried' under the card) This is simple, elegant and quite intuitive. For solo play or with another, this game is a fun little distraction that is actually quite good. Don't expect to win just for trying. Once the basic rules are understood, this is a very approachable game with a puzzle to solve behind every door. For the price, you are getting good value.

I've played this both solo and with my wife and it's a lot of fun in both situations. I like that you can earn skill points on your character which help you in future adventures. It did take a while to understand the rules and I did have to sit down and watch a video on it but ultimately the best way to learn is just start playing and pick through the rule book for "okay what do I need to know next" rather than trying to have a full understanding of it before you start. The first play-through I thought it was way too easy and it turned out that's because I wasn't following the rules quite right and I should have died a long time ago but that's okay, it's all part of the learning process. The "use time" mechanic seemed strange to me because it's presented as a negative thing: a consequence of failing to attack the monster as well as you could have or the cost to use a special ability. "Using time" mean discarding cards from the deck which brings you closer to the next level of the dungeon, which ultimately brings you closer to the main boss at the end and thus the end of the game so you would think that "using time" is a good thing. After all the sooner you get to the boss the fewer monsters you have to kill. But after giving it a lot of thought I realized that each of the monsters and challenges you face along the way gives you (if you are successful at defeating them) experience, items, skills ... things you'll need to be strong enough to defeat the boss. So letting time pass "discarding cards" and not facing those challenges means you're missing the opportunity to obtain the benefits of having faced and defeated those challenges.
