Perfect Fit for GX470 – Looks Factory
This vent fits my Lexus GX470 perfectly and looks just like the original. The plastic feels solid, not flimsy like some aftermarket trim pieces. Install was quick—just popped out the old one and pressed this in. The color matches the rest of the dash and it blends in well. The fins adjust smoothly and stay in place when you set them. If your factory vents are cracked, loose, or discolored, this is a simple way to clean up your dash without spending a ton.

Decent Option But Definitely Not Factory - a Bit Noisy
If your vents get really beat up, these are a workable solution, but they are far from perfect. The color match is pretty decent compared to the factory ones, which are not perfectly the same color as the dash either. These don't have the subtle texture that the OEM ones do, but the lack of that is pretty minor. They still look good. The toggle with the fake chrome accent is similar to factory - but definitely not a match. These have chrome all the way across the toggle piece, while the factory toggle is just chrome on the sides. But they are far enough from the other vents that no one will likely notice. The fit is perfect and they really do install incredibly easily. The wood trim pops off easily (and the pieces holding it on are not easily broken plastic, so they are easy to reinstall) and then it's basically just a screw and a little prying and pulling. Very simple. As far as the build, they are constructed solidly enough. The plastic is not as nicely formed as the OEM, but I doubt anything would break easily. As far as use, the toggle works well, and the vents hold their direction well. Very functional. When closing the vent, however, they don't have that nice click-in-place feel that the originals do. So they don't have that nice feel that you get used to with a Lexus. But they are not bad. Really, where some might have an issue with these is the noise, especially if you have passengers that close their vents. When you close the vent, they make a LOT more noise than the factory ones. I opted to not install both, and keep the factory passenger vent, replacing only the driver side. I originally was just going to replace both - seems like having two identical ones on either side might look a tad more even (if one could even notice), but I'd rather have the quiet factory one than consistency. To be fair, the center OEM vents make quite a bit of noise if you close them too, but the OEM side vents do not. But these do, and it's not quiet, especially the passenger side, which I opted to remove and keep as factory. Maybe the noise will quieten as the foam surrounding the internal closure door ages. But for now, the one I have installed is kinda loud, but fortunately, it's just me, and I don't ever really close that vent. You can see/hear it in the video. Given all of this, if you have just the toggle switch broken, I think there may be other options out there that would work fine for less money, especially since the toggles of these don't match OEM anyway. Be aware though that on mine, just the toggle probably would not have worked since the vent pivots were actually broken on the inside, and you might not be able to tell that without taking them apart. (I did take mine apart to see if I could just replace the toggle when installing these and skip the noise- but it looks like the OEM and these are not manufactured identically on the inside). But if your vents are real beat up, these are a decent option.
