Great deal and the right tool for the job
I just used this item to replace the front struts on a BMW I3. The price was very reasonable! At first I was a bit worried that there wouldn't be enough clearance or that the wedge would be too thick--nope, not a problem at all. It fit perfectly, and it made removing the strut housing from the mount simple! The metal feels solid and this spreader is one that I'll be keeping in mind as I'm sure that I'll find another use for it.

Piece of junk
Absolutely worthless piece of junk. I tried to split the bracket that attaches to my vehicles strut and as I tightened this poor excuse for a splitter it just popped right off. Save your money and buy the alternative which actually works. I purchased both to help expedite my project but this piece of junk did nothing to help and plus it falls apart with the first use.

Tool is for spreading the steering knuckle to aid in getting it back on the strut
Helped out a lot getting the steering knuckle back on to the strut, didn’t even need the BFH

Perfect for separation of a pinch knuckle on a bmw.

great little tool just have to make sure that you put a little grease on the bolt of the tool and gently tighten to spead the spindle works like a charm

Tool bent on the very first use and wouldnt even split the joint, jaws no longer close fully. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not waste your money.
