Useful but not the PD (power device type).
Not a powered hub. PD. So if you want one for that it isn't. Bought it incorrectly but kept it since it's useful. A PD hub takes the power through a side port and powers what it's plugged into. The end and the side ports. This doesn't. The power and connection is taken through that end lead in this device. Will power up devices connected to the side port and act as a hub. Has a useful USB- A side port if you have a laptop short of those ports. The power device type take the power supply for a device, save a Google TV streamer and the wired end port goes into the streamer. Usb, SSD etc. Factory reset and you have a media player. This doesn't do that.

USB Data Transfer Stick
Makes life much easier. I can plug all my periferal devices into my laptop all at once. Data transfer is really fast and smooth. This 3.2 Gbps usb adaptor makes lite work of moving large files between devices, and allows for smooth picture frame transition while streaming a video. I am able to run multiple operations at a time without and lag. Very handy and compact device.

Compact and fast
This hub is compact in size and USB powered so no extra cables. The throughput is fast enough but it's 4 stars for the excess heat when running an external Bluray drive through it. Easily solved with a small 100mm long heatsink.

Works perfectly with Macs, really cheap way to support legacy USB devices
Very easy way to give a modern MAC the older USB A ports that older devices need, you end up with one extra USBC and 2 USB A ports as this obviously has to be plugged in to one of your Mac USBC ports. Gives the same speed to external SSDs that you get plugging directly in to device and no slow done with AFPS encrypted drives like you can get with some hubs / docks.

Handy piece of IT equipment
Had this a few months now, looks sleek and works great. My devices work the same as if I had plugged them directly into my laptop. Highly recommend.

Added USB/C Functionality for an excellent price
No frills but does exactly what it says. Added extra USB/C functionality to my latop. Had all the ports in use with external harddrives for use with Avid Media Composer editing shotware, and it didn't miss a track.

Cheap and fairly cheerful.
The cable is rediculously short. needs to be at least twice as long. But the unit seems to work. Cheap and fairly cheerful.
