Anyone can do this.
I used this glass treatment and I was thinking this is going to be a lot of work. Wrong, I wore 9ml rubber gloves (the ones that comes in the kit, toss them out and use a better glove) and I did this in my garage. Use whatever glass cleaner you like and if you are going to do the front windshield I will tell you what I am going to do. The first windows I did was the side mirrors and the 4 doors on my 2023 FORD F-150 XLT PICKUP and once I did those I realized how easy this was going to be. I even did the back window as well. I am waiting for the 20 pack to get delivered (I bought the 4 pouch and I used 3 of them to do the side windows and the windshield on a 2017 HONDA PIONEER 1000-3 and the windows on my truck) so when it gets here this is what I will do to the windshield of the truck. I will re-wash it, dry it, then use the window cleaner I use and I will use a white non scratch pad to be sure that all of the bugs and whatever else is removed. Then use the spray cleaner again just to be sure it's as clean as possible and be sure it's completely dry. Then put on my gloves and open the pouch and apply using the crossing applications, up and down across the window then side to side and be sure that you overlap each pass through the process and then wait for it to bead up, usually within 1 to 5 minutes depending upon the temperature around you. Then take a clean microfiber cloth and start wiping it off and then take another clean cloth and buff it. If done right, the windshield will be really slick to the touch. Allow at least 2 hours after you buff to cure and at least 24 hours before you wash or use your wipers and after all that you are good to go. The windows on my truck that I had done, l was satisfied during and after a rain shower that the rain didn't stick as it did before I applied it to the back and side windows. Can't wait to do the front windshield. Update 08/26/2025: Well I did the windshield of my truck and what a big difference. Looking forward, it seems to be clearer than before and when it comes to using the wipers what a surprise, it cleaned faster than before. It was even better than the RAIN-X version and they said in the video that it doesn't matter what wiper fluid you use it will work with them all (I even cleaned the wiper blades and applied the glass treatment to them, I think it works better). I will update this later on in the year, I want to see how it works with snow, ice and freezing rain. Try it. Update 09/03/2025: Well folks I finally got a chance to drive through a pretty good rain storm today and I was impressed by the Glass Coating I applied to the front windshield. As I was driving through a hard downpour the rain was being pushed up the windshield faster than before and when the wipers was activated, it seemed a waste of time because of what this Coating was doing to the rain. As I mentioned that I applied the Coating to my wipers and I really think they were a tad faster because the windshield was smoother than before. I was wondering if I can do another coat on top of the one on the windshield now and if it will get better?? I think a phone call to the company on this might be the answer. I will update this with hopefully the answer from CERAKOTE. I hope this helps you, I was really happy that this work wasn't for nothing and as I mentioned before that the ending result of this product (CERAKOTE) was far better than the RAIN-X windshield treatment hands down. Update on 09/19/2025: I talked to CERAKOTE about re-appling the glass treatment over the first application. According to them, if you did what the directions tells you and that you followed the video on how to apply the Coating, you won't have to reapply for at least 2.5 to 3 years. They said that you will notice if the Coating is degrading by the way the water is reacting on the windshield. They said when this happens use a mild rubbing compound or a clay bar to remove the remaining Coating, clean with a good window cleaner and a microfiber cloth and start over by reappling the Glass Treatment as you did before. They did say (I haven't tried this yet) that when you add to the Paint Protectant Coating for a 2nd coat that you can spray it on the windows that have the Coating on it and buff it out and it will be a Coating over it. Sounds confusing but if it works as they say it will they didn't come out with any guarantees on longevity but I figure it can maybe last another 1 or 2 years. I will try it to see if it will work, if not, well I guess it will have to be stripped off and start over or it works better. Update: I did a Update about this on the PAINT PROTECTANT and I did apply the PAINT PROTECTANT on all of my windows on both the truck and topper. I did it on 10/08/2025, and if you find my reviews on the PAINT PROTECTANT you will see the book I wrote about it. I hope it wasn't wordy, I hope you understand that I was trying to convey what I saw and my reaction to the products. I also know that there are a lot of other products out there claiming to be better, good for them. Until this product fails to perform and reappling becomes a pain, I will continue to buy these products. However, some I over bought and found that it was to much. The INTERIOR spray, I bought 2 bottles, 1 to many. I found out that 1 bottle will last you a long time. The GLASS TREATMENT, from AMAZON, had 2 sizes, a 4 pouch and a 40 pouch. Get the larger one if you are going to do all your vehicles at once, I wasn't sure and I bought both. The PAINT PROTECTANT, I bought 2 14oz bottles from Amazon and I went through 1 bottle on 2 vehicles and I applied my 2nd coat to my FORD F-150 with the 2nd bottle. I didn't mention this in my review of the PAINT product but I have been thinking about possibly doing a third coat on it all. Maybe another Update after that. I will buy these products again and again unless they improve it.

Very hard to buff off
Cerakote has been coming out and hitting the detailing very hard. Their price and the results are hard to beat. I have used their trim restorer with great results. I saw this glass protectant and decided to give it a try. I watched their own installation video and decided to try it and for the price, it is cheaper than the other alternatives like Adams's ADS, or Gyeon. First, these are wipes unlike the competitor's where the product comes in a bottle and you need a microfiber on a block to apply. After using Cerakote's wipes, I prefer the latter. For the bottle and block applicator, I can control how much product I am using, for the wipes, I cannot. You do need about 2 (or 3) of the wipes just to do the windshield. The pack only gives you for, so if you plan to do all your exterior glass, including the sunroof (why not?), you may need multiple packs for one vehicle. After applying the wipes, it took an insane amount of pressure to buff with their included microfiber towel. Also, for whatever reason, when buffing with their towel it produces static, as I shocked my self multiple times. In addition to that, there is a tremendous amount of friction (or towel drag) and it feels like I am buffing dried on caked wax. Which brings me back to my previous point, I probably am using too much product because the wipes does not allow me to control the amount of product I am using. After spending too much time on the windshield just to buff the product, I decided it isn't worth my time. There are other options on the market that is easier to buff off.

Do not buy.
Horrible Horrible Horrible. Been detailing for years. Tried this on windshield last week. ONE night drive in rain and HORRIBLE. Applying it is a joke. A tiny little pad like the ones I wipe my eye glasses with? UH? You wipe it on and in 60 seconds or less the tissue is dry as a bone. MAYBE you get a 1 - 2 ft coverage. A little does NOT go a long way. Windshield was completely stripped before with for decon. This stuff was applied as directed. Results were horrible. Lots of blotchiness, little tiny spots or dots? Had to polish off with wool pad and polish to strip it off. JUST use a decent ceramic coating like from Adams and get enough to do your entire car pluse all glass a few times over for a little extra money. THIS crap, 3 boxes was not enough to do the GLASS on a BMW M550. Do not buy this garbage. Its basicaly a sub-par tissue paper soaked in a bad ceramic liquid. Just buy real ceramic and apply it with a pad without worrying about tissue drying. Its says money back guarantee? How do you return empty bags of crap and get back the time it took to strip it off?

Great glass protectorant
I am a big fan of using Rain-X. Love the way the water repels off the windshield. Didn't love how long it didn't last. I wanted to try something that was a little more permanent. Saw this in the Cerakote website. Decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. This package comes with 20 packs of wipes - 1 per pack. The box did not have any gloves in it, although I read somewhere that they did come with them, I think. Anyway, used 2 packs to do the windows on my truck. You need to apply the protectant, and then let it set until it beads up. Could be a few minutes, or longer. I did it in my garage during the winter so it took a while. Once it beads up, just buff it off with a microfiber cloth. Looks good and doesn't look streaky. Rain water does bead off. Hoping this lasts longer than the Rain-X. If not, I have many more packs to use.

takes less than 5m, you'll know you did it right when a microfiber cloth glides across without issue.
