Great for my hamster's nails! It feels less than 6 inches by 6 inches, but is cut well so there are no jagged edges. It also was wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed on a foam cushion in a cardboard box so it did not break in delivery. There is what seems to be some sort of finish on it. I wish there wasn't, but my hamster is not super keen on chewing everything, so he is not going to eat or nibble on the tile. Just be warned if you do have a nibble-ly hamster.

Exactly what I needed! So hard to find basking slate this large. As other reviewers also mentioned, it did come with a small chip off the corner but not broken or unusable. I assume it’s difficult to ship something like this. Happy with my purchase!

I did return this because it was not the right size I needed. It is cut well and no sharp edges. Would be good for a smaller reptile.

We got this for our tortoise to eat off of so his nails shave down as he eats. Perfect size for our enclosure and it cleans easily.
