I purchased this product based on a recommendation. My hair has started to thin due to breakage from lack of moisture. I was told to try and prepoo my hair with this oil. I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews because I'm very sensitive to harsh smells, however, this has a very light coffee scent and hasn't caused me any issues. I tried it and after going through my wash day routine, I did feel like my hair felt softer and more moisturized than it does without it. I have only used it once so I can't speak on how effective it is on growth but I'm going to continue to add it to my routine and I'll update this review with the results, good, bad or indifferent. As of right now, it's a 5-star product for me.

I am on my 3 order of this Bantana Oil. I have tried others and returned them I rarely leave reviews but I want you to buy this so the product remains available. Yes, it is THAT good. My hair actually grows because it doesn't fall out like it used to. It moisturizes my scalp and leave my hair moisturized but not greasy. It is bizarre, but my hair doesn't tangle like it used to and that reduces hair loss as well. I have fine hair and other oils leave my hair so greasy that I have wash my hair several time and that leaves it dry and straw like. With this product, I sometimes just rinse it out and the result is beautiful. Try this - I don't think you will be disappointed!

I have naturally curly and textured hair that typically sheds a lot! After using this prior to shampooing and conditioning, I shed at most half the amount I typically shed. I also noticed I spent less time detangling. The oil also smells delicious! The scent reminded me of a hazelnut coffee creamer! The texture is similar to an organic peanut butter. I applied the oil to my scalp and combed my hair so it was also evenly dispersed throughout the rest of my hair. After about 30-40minutes, I rinsed it off and continued to shampoo & condition my hair. I will definitely continue using this as a weekly deep conditioning treatment!

So far it seems like a good product and does what it says it will. I used it and wrapped up my hair and then left it in for about 45 minutes. Usually the second half of my hair is dry, frizzy and just looks unhealthy. After using this it looked like the top half of my hair. I had died my hair blonde one time and it really damaged my hair and you can tell usually. This is the first time it has looked healthy like my new growth. I will continue to use this product, I am happy with my purchase.

I used Dr. Sebi 100% Pure Batana Oil (from Honduras) for the first time as a pre‑shampoo treatment—my hair felt noticeably softer, shinier, and smoother right away, with reduced frizz and tangles and no greasy residue. The warm, earthy scent was pleasant and washed out cleanly. Excited to see more with regular use!

Order came very quickly. Product comes with great packaging & detailed instructions. I particularly liked how they give you the history of the product on the box. Great product so far. Love that it’s chemical free with no additives. Can’t wait to see my results. Will update review with results as am just trying for very first time now. Smells good too.
