Great leave in beard conditioner that delivers on it's promise.
I purchased this to try out after running out of my beard oil to try and keep the dreaded "Itchy beard" skin under control. It provides great relief and is not overly greasy when applied properly. The hair on the beard gets a nice bright sheen and after use for a week or two begins to have a softer feel to it. I also like that they use a twist top tin instead of the pressure fit top. Makes getting in and done a much quicker process. I typically apply just out of the shower with a damp (not wet) beard and start at the tips by hand and then get more full coverage with a brush through using a Kent medium comb. Not a single complaint thus far and about to make my second purchase. Hope this helps.

Light balm, wasn't for me.
I was excited to receive this balm, I've purchased about 10 beard balm and oils in the last month looking for the correct product for me. This is a light balm, it doesn't have much shaping or hold. I prefer the heavier balms that you have to scrape out with your nail, this was more of a gel and it was hard to get all the small beads of oil to dissolve, however they did dissolve on their own after a bit but they might show in your beard for a few minutes. The smell is a mix of vanilla, citrus, and wood/cedar (?) It's a lighter smell than some other products but it didn't work for me and repelled my wife which is a big negative (might be a plus for some). The smell fades after about an hour but not completely. I told the seller that I wasn't really happy with it and they were very nice and offered an exchange. I decided to keep it to have at my work office just in case. Product wasn't for me but wasn't bad, seller was great and I will try their heavier beard balms.

Competition for what?
I have used many beard balms, oils, etc. and this is a quality product. Now, if they had said this is a low hold and control balm, I would have given it 5 stars. Well, maybe 4.5 as I really don't want to smell like an orange tootsie pop. The problem here is that they are calling it a competition grade, extra control balm. This sadly is neither. I'm not understanding why most companies are making balms if it's just going to act and preform like an oil?! In my opinion, your standard balm should fall in between an oil and a wax in terms of hold and control. If your saying it offers extra hold and control, then it had better be much closer to a wax. A balm should minimally provide fly away control and at most allow shaping and holding of the beard and stache. I don't know, I don't get it. I just want a good medium hold balm, not an oil with a thick “starting” consistency. On to the next.

Gritty Mess
Product smells good and thats about it. Its 95% grit. Rub into finger tips thinking it would breakdown the grit, it doesn't. What the heck let's just go ahead and see what happens when you rub into beard---- its a grit debris snow storm flying around the bathroom. Smell and label is all I can is cool about this product.

Seems to be roughly the same product as Honest Amish ...
Seems to be roughly the same product as Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm (both are made by the same company). Has a semi-granular consistency that must be "melted" by rubbing in palm with finger(s) before applying to the beard. The scent is light yet different, more leathery, than Honest Amish, which has a more citrus smell, in my opinion. I will probably alternate between this and Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm just to add some variety to the smell of my beard.

Best of the Best in every way!!
I've been buying beard care products for about 1 year now and I can honestly say that everything sold by Honest Amish or Doctor Ganix is top notch quality! If you have a beard or are thinking of growing one, do yourself a huge favor and buy their products. Not only are they great for your beard growing experience, but their customer service is A++++. I mistaking ordered the extra control beard conditioner and although it's very good, my all time favorite Doctor Ganix product is the straight balm. I contacted them, we sent a few emails back and forth, three days later my all time fav is sitting on my doorstep. Like I said, you can't go wrong!! Thank You!!!

DING DING DING!!! Just found my go to Beard Balm. I have tried a few other balls and they have all been pretty good. I look for a ball that offers conditioning and hold. I have a pretty rebellious and full beard. This Balm offers just the right amount of hold to keep those fly always unde control with the perfect amount of conditioner to keep the face fro soft. I'll be buying again... And again... And again. Great Product. Great work guys!
