Awesome Bag
One of the best purchases I've made in a long time. This bag is very durable and is superbly made. It fits perfectly on the back of my Gold Wing when riding solo. I'm able to easily pack a enough clothes and toiletries in this bag to last me a week. As a bonus, it can actually be used as carry-on luggage. The bag is typical Maxpedition quality. They don't get any better than this. The molly system allows you to attach other smaller compartment to is quite easily. If your looking for a bag that will last a lifetime, this is it,

Maxpedition Fliegerduffel
Overall: This is my favorite travel bag. It fits in the overhead compartment on commercial flights, and I have already used it on many domestic and international flights. I purchased this bag primarily for travel. Features: My favorite feature of this bag is that it can be carried multiple ways. When the bag is heavy, I usually use the backpack straps so my hands are free to hold my children. When walking down the narrow airplane aisles, I can switch to holding it with the top or side straps. I don't really use the large shoulder strap. I like that the bag has MOLLE loops on the outside to attach other things, but I don't currently use this feature since I want to keep the bag streamlined for travel purposes. This is a nice, well-built bag.

The hinged flap design really makes getting into it very easy. Additionally the PALS webbing
This bag is phenomenal. It fits more than it has any right too, and yet it's exterior dimensions perfectly fit my carry-on allowance for an international TAP flight. The primary grip and the shoulder strap are padded for comfort, and there are compartments everywhere. The hinged flap design really makes getting into it very easy. Additionally the PALS webbing, which covers almost every free surface, allowed me to strap things like a travel pillow to the outside of the bag and tote it all very easily. Fantastic bag. It's now my primary carry-on for every flight.

NOT USA MADE
Not made in USA. Made in Vietnam. Not china but china owns Vietnam production. So the seller lies right off the bat. So it may not be made in Vietnam. Overpriced for the size.

Fantastic bag, and it's airline carry-on friendly, too!
Great quality, on par with other Maxpedition gear. Very functional, and well designed and built. The outward appearance may scream "TACTICAL", but it's not so over the top, that it attracts unwanted attention. Summing it up: It's quality Maxpedition gear. You're paying for the quality and name. *Side note: This item is made in China. This does not mean that it's sub-par quality, as a matter of fact, I am very pleased with it so far. I bought this item before discovering Spec-Ops (made in the U.S.A.) brand bags. had I found them first, I'd have gotten a bag from them.

Im ready for Adventure now!
Maxpedition never lets us down. I normally would wear this bag as a duffel, until recently. I was running through O'Hare airport in a mad dash to get to my flight, I almost forgot about the tucked away backpack straps. Pulled them out, strapped the bag on and high tailed it to my flight. It certainly helped not having the bag swinging on one shoulder as a duffel when in a full sprint weaving through a crowd of confused travelers. O'Hare is a HUGE airport, I think I ran a 5K with the Fliegerduffel tight to my back. Wish I could get my hands on security footage of my moves, the Chicago Bears would hand me a contract. <grin> Built Maxpedition Tough! This Duffel does not disappoint. Holds a lot of gear and cloths, never feels like you are over stressing the material (like other bags). Stress points are reinforced and well thought out. I can confirm, fits perfectly on United Airlines overhead compartment. The grab handles on both sides is a great touch and used them more then I imagined. Those grab handles makes it so easy to stow it above your head. The pals webbing was a perfect place to attach two pouches. One full of electronics/batteries, the other full of liquid/toiletries. At TSA security, I just removed those two pouches, let them look it over and send me on my way. This is the first time they didn't have to open my carry-on to inspect my underwear and socks. After through security, I just stuff those two pouches into the bag and Im on my way. Would be a 5 Star Duffel if it had a bit more organization built into the main compartment of the bag. It's basically an empty canvas with a hold down strap. There are two pockets, but they are on the "lid" of the bag. When you fill these, opening the bag becomes a flop and drop motion. These two pockets should also have external locking zipper access. Internally, Maybe some velcro dividers, a few mesh zipper pockets, internal velcro to attached other small bags. Oh, and quick release swivel hooks for the Duffel strap (Looks like the older model had them, this newer version does not. Bet they were prone to breakage). I don't think I will ever remove the strap, but would be nice. Sounds like a few misses, but really, this bag is a HIT. Great design, tough construction, will last years if not longer.

A Perfect Bag for Small Trips
I got this bag recently as I was in need for a cabin bag. I went through the reviews here and bought it in a hurry. I must say that I am not at all dissapointed. It is large with plenty of space to pack everything one may want to carry in a cabin bag. As someone has already mentioned, given the space it can become real heavy if care is not taken in what goes inside. I especially liked the zipper pockets on the side which can easily be used to keep a pair of chappal, a passport organizer or anything that requires quick access. Also the flexible option to carry it as a shoulder bag, a hand bag or like backpack is really nice touch which makes it a breeze to carry it through transit. In all I am very satisfied and will high recommend it to anyone looking for a cabin bag or even for a quick weekend getaway P.S. If you have one of the shoulder bag to carry your laptop, this may not be the ideal companion as juggling two bags on shoulder may get tricky...

great carry-on bag/travel bag
I've had this bag for 3 years and I love it. It's rugged, FAA carry-on size approved, and easily carries as backpack, shoulder (strap), or hand carry (neoprene-padded handle). Its not designed to backpack the alps with or anything like that, but its versatile and comfy for more casual travel trips. I would purchase it again.
