Perfection for a reasonable price for upper end quality sound, fit and design.
So good we bought 2 sets. My son has the original Dyson headphones with the air filter mask in a brilliant purple/dark blue - we may be the only household with that set plus 2 of the current headphones here. We are extraordinarily surprised by the incredible sound quality and diversity in overall design compared to much more expensive headphones. We have an Apple Pro headset, Bose, Sony and several other high end headphones. In overall comparison the Dyson on Trac are superior with the Apple coming in second. Why? For the audiophile in you, I along with my 26 year old super audiophile son have tested all of the somewhat reasonably priced higher end headphones. These will surprise most with the comfort upon placing them on and fitting them as they adjust in the band in a very well built solid aluminum frame that ingeniously holds two batteries that stay charged for well over an entire day. The ear cups are soft yet firm ovals that enclose the ears fully and the noise canceling is very good. I’d compare them in this canceling to the Sony and Apple high end headphones which block out all normal sounds- also, we have a cockatoo and if you’ve ever been exposed to the insanely loud shrieks they can easily wake the dead. When the bird shrieks at his loudest, nothing blocks it completely however these ALMOST keep the scream blocked. I can hear him slightly which is actually good as these avian friends are most excellent warning systems. He alerts us if anyone approaches the house or if animals appear at our glass doors. So, noise blocking is very good- on flights, there is zero outside sound cutting through. A+ for noise cancellation. Comfort is an A as well- I have difficulty with all headphones as my head is small. I could actually use extra padding on these as they are slightly loose but fit my son perfectly. As of yet, only the Sony headphones come as close as the Dysons in fit. These expand and contract easily but I wish there was perhaps an extra piece I could attach to keep them on more firmly when moving about. This is not an issue for most of the population but for me, I’d love a clip on piece to add a bit of snugness. Now finally, sound depth and quality. Plus connectivity. We have Apple TVs and phones. Plus homepods- Apple only allows Apple products to connect if you use more than one headphone set at a time. I can and do use my Dysons to connect with Apple TV and phone but Apple will not allow a second connection at all - we have to use 2 Apple headphones to watch a film together - can’t use a Sony with Apple pro to connect. It must be two (and no more than two) Apple AirPods or Apple headphones - not a Dyson and an Apple. Ridiculous. So if you are in an Apple environment, you may want to use their headphones - I refuse to buy two sets of their headphones but I have AirPods so my son can use the AirPod pro headset- it’s like Apple is punishing us by daring to own a different brand. So that’s a tiny issue and certainly not Dyson’s fault. I prefer the sound of the Dyson’s over all other headphones. Every single part of the stereo sound remains “crisp” the bass is true to how much or how little you personally prefer as it can be modified in the equalizer app - high end is just beautiful and voices remain clear while midranges are exactly what they are designed to be- like describing a very good wine, they are rich and balanced. The look is beautiful. I have the dark blue band with copper covers and dark deep blue foam covers. A stunning color combo. I have a yellow set of ear pads too that add a different look. Lots of combinations are available. The olive green with silver band looks super! These are underpriced for Dyson quality and their attention to detail. I highly recommend them. They charge quickly also and use a c to c cable that is provided with purchase.

Excellent quality
Tried the Anker Soundcore which was seriously lacking, have Apple AirPod Max which are pretty decent, figured I would try these since they were on sale and I was pleasantly surprised with not only the quality of sound but the build is excellent, ear pads are the most comfortable I’ve ever had. They are a little heavier than the max but not noticeable have no issues with long time wear. Again the build quality is up there with the most expensive and a lot better than some of them. No issues connecting or dropping off. They come with a travel case which actually protects them very well no need to purchase another. Very very happy with the headphones

These headphones have zero redeeming qualities.
They’re heavy, they slide off if I tilt my head even slightly, and they start hurting my ears after about an hour. The sound is fine, but nothing special. I genuinely tried to like them, but they’re not worth it.

at $249 it’s an underrated gem
build quality top notch styling bold and unique sound is amazing (IMPT: need to download the dyson app and tune 5-band EQ. I use -1 -1 +1 +0 +2) battery life double airpods max noise cancelling is similar level to airpods max incredibly comfortable to wear only cons for me: - sound needs to be tuned with dyson app, not that good out of the box - transparency mode is a little quiet, and annoying to toggle. need to tap ear cup and it’s not sensitive if you’re into the styling it’s a no brainer. this headphone slaps

looks aesthetically pleasing, but that’s about it
these headphones are such a cute design. i love the way they look. the ability to customize them makes it a unique pair unlike anything on the market. besides that, there isn’t much going for them. the sound quality is decent, but not nearly as good as other headphones on the market. a lot of reviews say that these are heavy, but i don’t really notice it. the fit is easy to adjust, and I like the way they sit. the only thing i dislike is that if you tilt your head down, the headphones rotate forward, since all of the weight is built into the headpiece, which houses the battery. the ear cups are comfortable. in comparison, the AirPods Max are way better. I love special audio on Apple products, which these headphones aren’t able to do. The headphones require an app to change the eq settings, which is slightly annoying. I prefer the sound when I put them in the “bass boost” mode, but the only other two options are “normal mode” and “flat mode”. the transparency mode in these headphones is really mediocre, and is not nearly as good as the AirPods Max. i have found that the noise canceling mode actually blocks out less sound than having it in “off mode”. another thing i dislike is that the only way to activate off mode is through the dyson app. there is a double tap function on the side of the right ear cup, but it only switches between transparency and noise cancellation, making it so you have to go into the app for off mode. there is a tiny joystick on the right ear cup, which serves as a volume and music controller. it kind of sucks. every time i push it to skip, it pauses the music. i will be personally returning these as there is an issue where the right ear cup sounds muffled when in transparency mode. this is probably an error with the specific unit that i received, but at this price point, errors are unacceptable. my overall verdict is that these headphones are great for people who are into fashion/want aesthetic headphones or who just love dyson products in general, and have the extra money to spend. my recommendation for anyone with the money to buy these is to buy the AirPods Max instead.

Audio is amazing
The sound and style are amazing. They definitely stick out in public and the gym with an endless supply of bland plastic black or white headphones. The cups are very large so while I am a 6'2" man, they fit my head size well. But on a smaller headed person they will probably look silly and over sized. The weight is noticeable, but nothing crazy like the reviewers complain about. I my last pair of headphones were Bose QC. I had them for a year before they broke from leaving them over night in my cold (Colorado) truck at night (below 20 degrees). Turns out batteries and electrictonics don't love temps below 32 degrees. The Dyson Ontrac audio is much better than the QC. But the nose cancelling on the QC were so good I never heard any of the juice heads in the gym throwing around dumb bells and grunting. They are heavily muted with the Dysons but I can still hear them enough to notice their chest pounding.

Worth it
Amazing headphones, especially for the price. My only gripe is that the chimes are weird and strangely loud, the start up chime almost sounds like a clap and the ANC activation chime is like a wine bottle popping. Other than that, they sound and look great, especially for 250$ headphones.

Underrated
I researched headphones in this category quite heavily, especially for not being an audiophile. But I wanted to make sure i would get headphones that I would actually use. At this price, I didn’t want expensive paperweights. If it isn’t comfortable or useful, I would have wasted money. Even after it arrived, I didn’t open it for a week, pondering whether I had made the right choice. Finally I decided to stick with my initial decision and keep them. Glad I did! They’re comfortable, block out almost all noise, and the sound quality is excellent. The app now allows for custom EQ settings, so complaints about poor EQ presets are moot. The build is excellent, and of course the battery life is endless. Some care only about audio quality, but these aren’t dedicated studio headphones. They’re meant to block noise, be portable, comfortable, and not require a lot of thought or effort to use. They check all those boxes, and have excellent sound quality too. The bass is deep and the high notes ring clear. Yes, they are pricey, but I think the quality and versatility, not to mention impressive battery life, justify that cost.
