I moved to Israel which there the power is 220v and I'm using a few of the 500w for over a year for many things I took from America, like food processor, printer, TV, compact disc, drill charger.. all those are working for 120v only and works perfect with the adapter.

I bought this for my Europe trip. My wife’s hair blower and etc are on 120V. I browsed many transformers. Most only works for electronics. This one works well with hair blowers and so on. Works great!

I thought the transformer stopped working cause the power led indicator last 2 days. but still works.... it's a shame the only light that goves you any warning about if its working lasted 2 days.

Used for travel, easy to use and do not take a lot of space in the bag. REMEMBER you need to check your watts on your electric technology and multiple by 3 to use it. Example hairdryer usually take 1800 watts multiple by 3 = 5400 watts, so for hairdryer you need get around 6000 watts Voltage Converter. Edited: Using in Russia for almost 3 years to charge Dyson V8 Animal Extra cordless vacuum cleaner, for small coffee grinder every morning and other devices. No problem.

I have been using another model 1500w for a 2.5 years. Sometimes it worked for 10-12 hours per day during several weeks and still everything is fine. So based on this good experience I bought this 500w model for less power consuming tasks.

Was worried to purchase because of its size and weight relative to competitors on amazon, ended up purchasing both. So happy with this one - its simple, smaller, and weighs less! It does the job, and that's all that matters!

Failed after very short use. "travel" means it is not for continues use aka it is not for using. It is not a light unit so not sure what is the travel.
