Perfect For Projects
This motor is a good one, the variable speed is great and will be a good choice for makers who need a motor.

These motors are absolute junk — don’t waste your money
I purchased two of these motors (rated 180W, 110V AC, 50Hz) for a very specific off-grid generator project. Right out of the box, both motors underperformed badly, even with no load. I followed all wiring instructions exactly and tried both included speed controllers. The motors would hum, barely turn, and never reached anything close to expected RPMs. One controller even failed after light use. I’m not new to this — I tested voltage, checked wiring multiple times, and even bypassed the controller to troubleshoot. Nothing helped. When I finally tested the voltage directly off the controller and motor, it was clear: the motors simply don’t produce enough torque or speed to be usable, even unloaded. It turns out these motors are 50Hz — which wasn’t clear up front, and likely explains some of the performance issues on a 60Hz US grid. But that should have been disclosed more obviously in the listing. And even still, they should be capable of better performance than what I saw. Bottom line: I spent weeks troubleshooting and testing, and in the end, I’m stuck with two worthless motors outside the return window. If you’re looking for a reliable motor for any serious application, look elsewhere.

Speed Controller No Good
This is the second one I bought. First one is working good so far but the second one did not work from the start. After testing the motor is fine but the speed controller is not putting and power to the motor and has a burnt wire smell.

Stout Little Motor
This is a beefy little motor which performs well for most hoe use cases. Spec wise, this motor trends more on the lower end of industrial motors so it has plenty of power and torque for home projects, but I wouldn't advise using it for lifts or any critical equipment were its failure could be catastrophic. I think this is a good motor that works at a moderate price as I saw similar offerings that both exceeded or were below this items price point.
