AV Access HDMI Over Fiber Extender 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, 1000ft Long Range Optical Transmission, EMI-Free, IR & RS232, for Commercial AV, Data Centers, Large Installations (4KEX300-F)

I needed to extend 4K video beyond what the available CAT6A/7 video extenders provide - I have tried a lot of them, but cable run distance is always an issue for me. In my setup I use a 4K home theater receiver, multiple HDMI sources, and a 4K projector throwing over 20 feet. I used a 35-meter OM4 LC to LC multimode fiber cable rated for 10Gbps, and I also used all 4K HDMI 2.0 cables for each connection. When I first got this going, there was some intermittent flickering and then loss of signal that would return after about 5 minutes and then go out again. I worked with Ryan at the support team, and he asked me to test multiple components of mine (i.e., TV for projector, laptop as source to extender directly, etc.) just to make sure I had everything correct, and we determined to swap the AV Access extender units. Once I sent the units back, I got the new units almost immediately. I plugged in the new units and everything worked without any issues at all. I am very pleased with the performance of the unit, the quality of the power adapters, connections, LC SFPs, and overall look of the extenders. Also, working with support was not an issue at all, in fact it was refreshing to get the level of respect that exceeded my expectations. They did offer full reimbursement if that was what I wanted. Since I haven't found any other solution worthy to compare to this, I was thankful to get the immediate replacement without any hassle.

4K@60FPS, 4:4:4, DTS over the optic fiber. I love this device. If you want to move your equipment to a closet or storage room, allowing you to tidy up some space in your living room - this is just great. It is small enough you could easily attach it to a backplate of your TV, leaving just an optic fiber and a charging cable as the only indicaton there's anything really going on. lag/latency is completely negligible and you won't experience it. If you want to play games - it will work just fine. finally, it looks like the device uses a single SFP+ port on either side, and comes with a preinstalled LC connector. While i haven't really tried this, it wouldn't surprise me if it worked over different media, too.
