I was initially planning to build my own system, and my budget was quickly exceeding $1000 for the cameras, NVR, and hard drive. Here’s what you get in the box: 4 cameras, an NVR (with a 3TB hard drive installed), 4 60ft ethernet cables, a mouse, and all the necessary mounting hardware. The only additional items you’ll need are a monitor and an HDMI cable. Setting up the system was incredibly simple—just plug and play. The cameras are POE, so they power up and connect automatically to the NVR. The Videolink app is user-friendly and easy to set up across multiple devices (I have it running on my iPhone, MacBook and a Windows laptop), and you can access the NVR from any computer on your network. The only challenge was scheduling a time for my friend to help me run the cables to the spots where I wanted to mount the cameras. But once they were installed, I was blown away by the video quality and the AI recognition. I get notifications on my phone whenever someone walks past my house, and even when I let my dog out in the yard. The night vision is also crystal clear. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and would highly recommend this system to anyone looking to install a reliable security camera system without spending a fortune.

I recently purchased the SV3C 4K PoE Camera; I am a big consumer of such cameras as I oversee 3 Blue Iris sites using cameras from Hikvision, Amcrest, Wanview, and some WiFi SV3C cameras. So when this new ONVIF-capable camera from SV3C became available, I wanted to give it a try. Firstly, the setup process was a breeze. You download the VideoLink app, and from there, you will discover and set up the camera directly from the app. For more complex operations, such as setting a static IP address, you’ll need to access the camera via a browser (see pictures). It is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) camera, so you do not need to supply power as long as the camera is connected to a PoE switch via a standard LAN cable. Once installed, the image quality was good. The 4K resolution delivers crisp and clear footage, allowing me to see every detail with precision. Whether it's daytime or nighttime, the camera's advanced night vision (see pictures) ensures that I never miss a thing, providing round-the-clock surveillance with exceptional clarity. I installed the camera at my home; I live on a corner lot, so I pointed the camera at the driveway. The camera's wide viewing angle covers a vast area, giving me good coverage of a portion of my property. The built-in motion detection feature is accurate, alerting me promptly to any activity detected within the camera's range. The SV3C 4K PoE Camera is well-made. I bought SV3C security system mostly for the high reviews, but this is not what I experienced after installing the system. First, I tried to set and save correct time many times to only an hour or so later to find the system changed the time. Which made video playback a total pain. Then found two of the cameras distort the bottom half of the playback video. I could not get the night lights to work properly either one night they would work as expected then they would not turn on to motion. Checked NVR setting and still on intelligent mode, so don't know what was happening. I tried sending several emails to SV3C tech email address and never receive a single response back. So, Thanks to Amazon I sent the system back and got a full refund after days of aggravation trying to get it to work. I know this could have just been a bad system, because I did like the quality of the live feed. Also, the setup of the program download, and app was also a pain not as simple as expected as it was with my old system that lasted years before unfixable problem it stopped working. I myself will not buy this system again.
