Still the best, tangy salad pickle.
Ah, Branston pickle. There is nothing finer to accompany a mature cheddar. Perfect in a sandwich or on a salad plate. It has an acidic bite to it, which no others seem to be able to replicate. Sweet and tangy in equal measures, it's a fine pickle indeed. This is the original one. They do a smooth one, but frankly, if you don't like the lumps, what are you doing eating pickle? Ingredients wise, it's mainly made from Carrots, Rutabaga (No? Me neither), Onions and Cauliflower. It's 31% sugar and 3.5% salt. Not exactly a health food, but you're not going to be eating a whole lot at once, so, as they say, a little of what you fancy does you good. Overall, if you want a tangy pickle with your salad, you can't do better than a spoonful of Branston's. I hope you found this review helpful.

When living in the UK I became addicted to Cheese & Pickle sandwiches made with rustic, crusty bread. Branston Original is the only chutney/relish to make a proper Cheese & Pickle sandwich. It’s too bad that one must resort to Amazon as an expensive source for Branston Original.
