Awesome piece of kit!
What an incredible addition to our kitchen appliances. We'd originally bought it to take away in our caravan on winter trips. However, after trying it out at home first, I have been using it regularly ever since! It is compact enough to store easily away in a cupboard, yet makes half a litre of soup which is more than sufficient for my wife and me. It's easy to clean and there's no maintenance of the unit to worry about. I've tried the smooth setting for creamy celery soups etc, and the chunky setting for rustic vegetable soups. It is very easy to use and the instructions are easy to understand. Basically, chop up your ingredients, stick them in the soup maker with a stock cube, seasoning and 500ml of water, choose the smooth or chunky mode and switch on - it really is that easy! 20 minutes to half an hour later (depending on your mode setting) you will be eating delicious, nutritious homemade soups. It also makes smoothies, which I'm excited to try out when the weather warms up a bit. I would definitely recommend the Morphy Richards Compact Soup Maker to anyone looking to use up all those odd bits of vegetables in the fridge by making highly nutritious and flavoursome soups.

Great soup maker
Great soup maker. Bought for my son who uses it weekly to make soup. Good quality. Good choice of consistency types for soup. Works very well and quick and easy to use. Would suit elderly parents as would make life easier for them.

So good, so far
I've had this about 2-3 weeks and so far, so good. I used to make soup the old fashioned way, roast the veg, then boil for a bit and then blend, all told used to take about 2 hours (chopping and cooking). This has reduced that down to about half an hour. It cooks soup in about 20 minutes. The result is very tasty soup that is so easy to make. A few reviews have mentioned some problems with this unit 1) it powers off for no reason - I had this issue myself and I discovered that the unit was too full. When it blends the soup it vibrates quite a lot and this vibration lifted the lid off slightly and the two power connectors lost touch and the unit powered off. So now I don't try and stuff everything in and the issue hasn't arisen. 2) Burning on the bottom - I think this is caused by veg sticking to the bottom, even if the unit isn't on. Starchy/sugary veg can cause this. Put a small amount of water in the bottom, before you put the veg in and this helps a lot. I've burned it slightly, but it cleans off easy enough. The only issue I have is that it's too small, I should have gone for the larger one. I like to make soup for 3-4 days and this unit is too small for that, so maybe opt for a larger capacity one if this is what you're looking for.

Beware if over heating , I've had two do the thingsame
Please be aware. I bought the 1stvine last week. Worked perfectly the first time but then the second time it got dangerously hot and turned itself off. Then just wouldn't work. I read the reviews and 10% if them had the same thing happen. I figured I was unlucky so I ordered another one. This one overheated on the first use. That is more than unlucky. So please beware. When this over heats it gets dangerously hot , you can't touch the metal type hot, I have probably really been very unlucky but I've just ordered a different brand now as I don't want to take the chance again

Makes better than supermarket soup
This is an amazing soup maker would recommend. I have the 1litre, it’s enough for 3/4 servings for someone with an average appetite. Soups come out better than shop bought ones

So quick and easy
Love this soup maker. So easy. Fill with what you want to one level, stock cube and water to the next and go! Takes 19 minutes. I am using bits of veg that i used to compost such as broccoli stalks and today I put in, with my normal carrot, parsnip, swede and onion, some cauliflower leaf stalks- the big ones that are usually too big to cook. I use a vegetable chopper and cube everything. Lovely soup! So easy. Best thing that i have bought for ages.

Excellent product .
Bought a ' box damaged ' one to save a few pounds , box lid slightly torn . Nothing sellotape didn't solve . Clear, easy to follow instructions , made leek and potato soup using recipe in booklet . Delicious and enough for two hungry people in 19 minutes . Going to try broccoli and Stilton tomorrow . Easy to clean , just rinse and dry . ( Don't immerse in water , it's similar to an electric kettle )
