GoPro Contacto (Magnetic Door and Power Cable Kit) - Official GoPro Accessory

Being able to charge the GoPro magnetically without opening the battery door is a very welcome feature we have been waiting for! Works straight out of the box, good value and simple to use.

I gave it 5 stars for functionality, but the price is very expensive. You get the door for your Camera, still works on a GoPro9. Have used it on a motorbike in the rain... 3 different cables, all good.

bout this to upgrade the door / charging abilities of my older 10 / 11 and 12 GP's, works well with the older cameras even though it's a relatively new addition the accessories line-up from GoPro aimed at the newer Hero 13 users.. it won't work on the pre-9 cameras though as the doors were changed

Original accessory works and fits flawlessly.

Simple to change. Works just fine. Not quite as quick as charging. Bit pricey but well built.

Pros - a tad pricey but an otherwise excellent piece of kit. Used in paragliding to connect power bank on the rear of helmet, to Hero 10 on the front. This replaces as old 'pass thro' door which was not moisture proof, and allowed internal condensation on lens & other internal surfaces occasionally. Issue now seems resolved as camera fully sealed against the elements. Cons - while charging with the Contacto in place seems fine, downloading 4k video files to my Windows 11 desktop is desperately slow, necessitating removal of the door to get the micro sd card out and using a card reader instead. This means removing and refitting the door frequently, which on the Hero 10 is a bit of a faff, as others have reported, though both these issues may be resolved in later camera models. Overall very pleased though.

Have been using GoPro for a good number of years and this has been bought to replace the old style charging door that you could get but was not waterproof so was limited on what you could do with it. This new Contacto door is waterproof so now opens up new possibilities with what can be done from a battery back or indoor connection to power.

Brought these initially for the GP10 - then realised that none of my power banks worked using the usbc cable. So was stuck on the usb input and an A-C type cable. Ok but not perfect. Couldn't transfer data to my pc through it unless I used usb 2 - seriously?? Door was also verrrryy tight to close and the gp10 needed the labs firmware to get it to work without a battery. So it's ok and works on the 10 with caveats. However - I have now stuck it on my gp13 and it's perfect - Recorded a 6 hour timewarp while out riding, lost 0 battery. I've used it with the battery, which is cool, used it without the battery - which is icy cold. Fits perfectly on the gp13 with none of effort of closing like on the 10. Recorded a 3 hour 5k vid and it was flawless. Transfers vid fine over usbC 3.2 port, works connected to my pixel9pro to, to offload easily. I love this - should be included in the camera as default. I use this on my motorcycle all the time to keep my GoPro fully charged. Never run out of power again.

Finalmente. Uso gopro da anni con battery pack per estendere la durata della registrazioni. L'accessorio costa, ma funziona. La calamita è forte e non si stacca facilmente. Si allinea da solo. Peso ridotto notevolmente. Credo che sia la mia soluzione finale dopo tanti anni di prove.

go pro works fine ,installs in seconds and ease of charging is great ,,i have tried knock offs for less and the really are horrible ,if you can get them installed ,,but this is a genuine go pro accessory .
