This is a great way to test a coin for Silver content. You can find apps on the app store that help you by listening to the ping and see if it is in the right hertz range. Easy to use. Love that it comes with a striker that has a magnet so you can easily tell if it is magnetic and not silver.

The coin pincher is plastic and not worth the price paid. Garbage I do not recommend. The magnet is fine but feel there are better products available.

This product came to me broke. I open the box & the threaded part was in two peaces. So I paid extra to superglue it back to gather. Not a good experience.

Not a bad product, but it looks like it was 3D printed by my 13y old in computer class. The magnet it comes with is cool. I would recommend a pocket pinger instead of this. A little more money, well worth it.

This was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent, it's cheap brittle plastic and has already broke literally, I wish to God I would have done more research into the product and went ahead and spent the extra money and gotten a nicer one that would hold up, don't make my mistake!!!

I recently got into Silver collecting and refining. This tool is a minimal requirement if you are getting into this area as well. This coin check set is alright and does the job, and for the price, you can't go wrong. My only concern is that it feels 3D printed. I don't think it's the worst thing, but I have noticed that the more you use it, the more contact area ends up touching the coin. It's fine for larger coins, but makes it difficult to check smaller coins. If I had any recommendation, if you have a ton of coins to check, start with your smaller coins and work up so it doesn't become and issue. It still works, it just makes it a slightly harder to check since theres less surface area to resonate. Luckily, I tend to collect larger international silver coins. With all that said, you can't go wrong with this tester as your introduction.

Don’t buy. It was on sale so I took a chance. First it’s just a plastic clamp and the pinger is a metal weight. I tried to use it and it didn’t ping and I scratched a perfectly good maple that I knew was real. Save your money even at $5 it’s a waste of money!

I behaved like an idiot and I scratched a gold coin with this. Don't use on soft metals.

This is much better than the previous version in my opinion, love it!
