This train set from Hot Bee is good quality. All the wheels are made of metal, as well as the locomotive engine itself. That engine is powered by a rechargeable battery. Instead of being tied to an outlet by a cord, you can play just about anywhere! This train has the locomotive engine, a coal car, and two passenger cars. There is no caboose as those are something found mostly in the US. The train runs really well, managing turns without tipping over. The details are what makes this train really fun and enjoyable for both my husband and our grandsons. The engine lights up and makes smoke, the sounds are realistic, and even the passenger cars light up! The cars themselves are incredibly detailed, and the locomotive engine is lovely. My husband loves this train. He once had a large set up of a whole town for his trains. We just do not have the space or money for that now. But sets like this one let him enjoy the hobby again. To share it with his grandchildren. We are planning on making a little town and track to put under the Christmas tree this year. The train set is $30 US at the time of this review. It is by far the best one I have seen at this price. Every Christmas season I see train sets made entirely of plastic, powered by non rechargeable batteries for more money than this set!

I've wanted a train to go around the base of my Christmas tree for a long time so I was really excited to find this. Although this train is smaller than I had expected, it was perfect for my needs. It works really well, is super cute, good quality, and everyone loved it. I had no issues with the track staying together or functionality, so I'm very happy and will be using this for years to come.

My son is obsessed with trains, and when I saw this, I thought it would make the perfect Christmas present. But once my husband and I opened it, we couldn't wait to give it to him and ended up surprising him with it early. He absolutely LOVES it, and has played with it literally every single day since he first got it. The train itself is way better quality than I was expecting. It's made with a sturdy metal and has a nice weight to it. Also, it comes with 14 tracks that you can assemble, which is pretty darn long when you put them all together! It runs without issue and doesn't get dislodged from the track. And it's a (mostly) legit steam engine! You add water to the top reservoir and it steams when it runs. It also has a little red light that shines from the front engine, adding to the overall train effect. It's a huge leap from the cheap plastic train set we got him a few years ago. Overall, it's a solid, sturdy train set that is sure to wow even older kids (and adults). I couldn't be happier with the quality and my son adores playing with it. Five stars, hands down!

I was very impressed with the construction of the engine and cars. The engine is made of sturdy metal. The tracks snap together easily and the train rides on them effortlessly. I can’t wait to get it around the Christmas tree.

This train is so fun! It came with a tiny water bottle dropper so you can add water to the top of the locomotive to make steam come out as it goes around. The two passenger cars light up and it makes the train horn sound, it's so cool. It's also pretty sturdy and the tracks work well too. They'er not warped and instead of clipping together they have little caps that connect them together on the sides.
