Convatec 183910 Stomahesive Paste: 2 Ounce (Pack of 3)

It an ok product.

This is the second time I've had this paste. It works great. Easy to mold, and the adhesive is excellent.

This has done a great job in helping my flange stay on much longer. I have had an ostomy for over 5 years

I've been using Convatec's Stomahesive Paste for over 45 years for my ileostomy. It is an excellent paste, but as reviewers have noted, many times it's hard to get out of the tube after the tube has been opened and used at least once. For those of you who have not tried the following, try this method: Sometimes it dries to a solid piece at the opening of the tube from the previous time it was used. In that case, take a scissor or something small and you can easily dig out the dry piece. Then, close the cap and put the tube under the hottest water from your sink for about one minute or so. Sometimes I flip the tube over, so the hot water gets both sides, but you don't have to. After a minute or so, the paste comes out very easily with no effort. This does not effect the integrity of the paste at all. After you put it on your wafer(whatever brand you use), it will be the same consistency as it would be coming out of a new unopened tube. Before you throw away your older tubes of this paste thinking they are dried out, try the hot water first. I've done this on 2+ year old tubes, and it softens just as easily as a new tube. At $8-10 per 2 oz tube, no need to throw them away when there's an easy solution using hot water. I've been doing this method for many years, and it has worked 100% of the time. I rarely if ever write a review, but felt the need to do so in this case to give some advise to whomever might find it helpful. Thank you.
