Great product

I would give this 4.5 stars, if that was a choice, It is not so I rounded up. Brought this meter about a month ago. The lower price on the testing strips compared to Care Sence(have) and other brands, was a big plus to try out. Right now, its 20.00 for 100 compared to appx 25.00. I like this meter so much right now I am ordering a set of strips. Don't need at moment, but just in case price goes up. This unit on sale is a good buy. It has a function You can set with before or after meal settings (I have not gotten around to figuring it out yet). Compared to the Care Sence unit I have. This machine so far seems nearly impossible to waste a strip on. Only wasted 1 at this point. I have gotten readings with blood samples the other unit would not even register. And cause you to waste strips. I even had one time. It let me reuse a strip that got a mark too small to read. Care Sense would have errored. In short, I am going through a lot less strips so far. As for the reading. When I first got this. I ran a reading comparison the next day. my morning reading this one came up a few points higher than old one. The evening reading was about 20 points lower. So, this machine might be included too lower reading. I showed my heart doctor. He seemed to not be concerned about the difference. If your worried about low readings, this may not be for you. You get everything shown in pic. Unit, 100 lancer, 100 strips, case (w compartments). My readings have been between 85 n 250 with this new unit. Over the month. Averaging around 110-140. about a dozen lower then with the CS unit. In a month. Again, so far, I am happy with this buy. Oh, one feature I kind of mis is the CS unit talked. This one does not, but it is big easy read screen. With countdown.

Seems to work well, im having no problems with my machine.

FALSE READINGS!!!! Be VERY CAREFUL! My mom was using this machine and started receiving readings that her blood sugar was 340-370 almost every day. One day it read she was at 500!! The next day she took it & it showed 340 so she went to the ER to get seen & they tested her twice. The first time she was at 80 and a few hours later 76!!! Be very careful taking medication to lower your blood sugar when you get high readings from this

As a non diabetic, I track my blood sugar primarily to lose weight and improve my health. Ive done some fasting, and check to make sure my blood sugar isnt too low when im feeling hungry. I was using a Relion platnum meter, but didnt feel like going to walmart, so I ordered this when I ran low on strips. The hard case is nice, and keeps everything organized, but it wont fit in your pocket, or a small purse. this meter is easy to use and it runs on included AAA batteries. While the specification sheet say they are equally accurate, the platnum meter gave much more consistant results than this one which is still within spec. The platnum meter also is easier to set time & date, and it averages over 7, 30, 90 days so you can see trends. This meter can show previous readings but then shuts off very fast. I wasnt able to set time & date, but i didnt read the instructions either. Great for saving the battery, but harder to see when your sugar was higher and the overall trends. The test strips work great, they all take in blood and show a number, no error codes or results more than +-15% Ill be switching back to my platnum meter at home, cause I can track trends better. but this one is going in my backpack for travelling, cause I have it, and It works. Also keep in mind all glucose meters and strips are tempature sensitive, so if its hot or cold, then you might have to take it inside as soon as its dropped off. And if your house lacks heat or ac, they might have some issues.

It’s so good and doesn’t need so much blood like other devices it will show error if it didn’t have enough blood. I already recommend to my family and price is good and refill strips too.

Everything was just as I expected.
