Pretty good, but be careful with set up
This works pretty well, but set up did not go as easily as I hoped. Despite the fact, I had tightened the hose onto the tank. It came off and spilled gas all over.

Fuel pump handle is not high quality.
Third use- handle quit opening. Have to take handle off to get it to pump. Working on getting a replacement but no one ever answers at customer service. Pay $300 for a fuel tank - it should last more than 2 uses.

Great Quality Product.
Great product for long trips while towing the RV. Extends my range by 90 miles, and electric pump transfers contents in under 5 minutes.

Scepter Electric 14gal
Everything looks sturdy and well built. Just curious why this device isn't shipped with a 9v power cord included.. ??

Hose sucks, doesn’t seal.
Has a good pump, but the fill cap doesn’t seal at all. Leaked gas all over the back of my truck. The angle on the pump out causes the hose to kink no matter how to adjust it. And then when it comes time to actually fill the kink really doesn’t want to come out. Got this to make things easier and it ended up being just a waste of money.

The Cap - Venting, pressure, and stress
Pressure issues, vented cap. Gasoline turns from a liquid to a vapor when it gets warm.. vapor needs more room then liquid so if it’s trapped it builds pressure. The cap (the new design with the red diaphragm) has an auto vent.. however, it is only designed to vent air into the tank that way you can pump gas without a vapor lock issue. It is not for venting the excess pressure of gasoline vapor that accumulates. I called the manufacturer spoke to a nice lady in Canada and she emailed the techs. Although not rocket science ( poor analogy, I guess it could be if things go bad) this was all confirmed though them. Next question was okay what pressure is your tank rated for? Answer was it was tested to 20 psi. They did a study and found that they only saw a max pressure of 9 psi when the can was in full sun. Obviously lots of questions.. what temp, how much gas was in it, and so on. Since she didn’t engineer the tank I didn’t press. What I can say is during storage you can just flip that red diaphragm to the other side and that way the vapor vents. I’m sure the EPA would not approve of that however, no one really likes a pressurized fuel tank sitting next to their favorite toys. Options, 1. Trust the engineers and do nothing about the can and drink beer for anxiety. 2. Buy a new cap that vents both ways 3. “Self vent”
