The kit comes with clear instructions and 12 test pots. As others have said what makes this a stand out buy for the price is the customer service. It’s quite hard to identify the mould from the pics in the leaflet but they emailed back full info within a day after I sent photos to them. Watching the mould on the pots grow was part disgusting and part fascinating. Has allowed us to take action to hopefully eradicate it. We have a dog who’s been very ill with a recent aspergillus fungus infection and wanted to test the surfaces in our house for this. Results showed that there was aspergillus under the floor area where he sleeps 🙁. Now we’ve had to take the floor up and replace but at least we know! Have the second lot of 6 tests on stand by to retest at later date. (Box comes with 2 sets of 6 tests)

This was the first time I've tested for mold in the house and I wasn't sure what to expect. i needn't have worried as the kit was very easy to use. The booklet/guide supplied with test kit (petri dishes) was excellent and easy to understand. I had to ask for help, though, as I couldn't identify all the mold in the petri dishes so contacted the company asking for help and included photos of the molds. I was delighted to get a reply next day with a brilliant and detailed report, explaining what the molds were etc. What a fantastic service!! I hope to do some repeat tests in the future and can highly recommend this product.

the test kit showed the mould in the house. we sent pictures of the mould and got a prompt reply with details of which mould types were present in the home. good product and good service.

There's tons of spelling mistakes here which makes it seem very unprofessional and then for disposing the mold plates they recommend opening them after mold growth has formed and boiling it off before you put them in the bin. Apparently you shouldn't open them after the sample has been taken. I'd avoid this!

Fascinating Learning Experience and Essential for Good Health! Well worth the price! The company really over-delivered with this 12-plate mold kit and I got a world-class experience in Mold concerns and Prevention. So far, I only have used six of the mold plates -- Guest Room, Basement, Garage, Outdoor Deck, Camper and Loft Office and you can see for yourself the incredible growth of mold in many of these damp and dark areas!!! Wowee!!! These six plates were cultivated for 5 full days in a 77 degree walk-in closet (small space heater was used to maintain temp) and it was really fun to check them every single day. I put the plates in ZipLock baggies and handled them very gently so condensation wouldn't spoil the samples. I learned that MOLD is everywhere....(look at the Outdoor plate!) but it doesn't have to take over your space or life. The instructions, Mold Report, and experience was fantastic and I couldn't recommend this company enough. (I did use a P100 Respirator, Safety Goggles and Gloves when handling and took the Photo's outside and suggest you might take similar or even better precautions.) If you are curious about Mold or Potential Mold in your Home, Office, Boat, RV or anywhere, this kit is well worth the price and quite fun to do! I'd wanted to do this for a very long time and the price was right and the value is incredible! This is an awesome project for the entire family and this kit makes a fantastic gift, because there were no separate lab fees. It is easy to do, as the instructions are very thorough and come with a fantastic photo-guide to the types of mold you will encounter. I emailed my photos to the lab and they wrote back with a list of the specific types of mold in each photo -- which allowed me to learn more about them. This is an incredibly educational experience...I valued it immensely.

100% worth the price! I had mold on 5 different spots on my ceiling in two separate rooms (thank you idiot roofers) and the small room also had an odd smell. The kit was super easy to use. Swab the area, rub the swab on the gel in one of the Petri dish, put the lid on, keep it in a warm place (70-80 degrees) and wait. I didn’t have a warm enough place so I set the dishes on a warming pad I have for starting plants. I also wanted to test the air in one room. I put an open dishes on top of a bookcase, closed the doors & windows and left it overnight. On a couple of the samples, I was pretty sure I knew what they were from the images in the booklet that came with the kit. Others looked a bit like they might be more than one. They have an email address where you can send them photos for review and they send you a report. I got my report in less than 24 hours, but it can take several days. I would absolutely recommend this so you know what you are dealing with.

The amount of materials supplied are amazing. Do not throw away your booklet cause their is an email address supplied so you can contact the customer service department and send in pics if you are still unsure if what mold is in your home. If anyone reads it review and purchases the product can you put the email address in your product review for us who throws away stuff prematurely. The booklet is quite comprehensive and you can test before and after cleaning the areas to make sure you removed the mold. It's absolutely an amazing product and as a novice mold investigator lol it definitely gave me the sense of relief for my family.
