Works great with the original switch. A much needed upgrade over the awful ergonomics of the joycons. Hall effect sticks eliminate all stick drift which is a huge plus. If you have a screen protector on, you could honestly just chuck this into your bag as is. Of course they announced the nitro deck 2 right after I bought this, but it looks like that one can’t function as a dock. This one allows you to charge and have a display out which is huge, since I don’t need to have the stock dock taking up space on my desk anymore. Plus the deck 2 costs over 2x as much

Like the previous one (nitro deck), that they released, this item is very good and very well built, actually there have been some changes to the overall layout and a few new additions. And What are the differences from the original? – Firstly, the right side has a different layout: specifically the right stick is now parallel to the left stick and therefore now you have to move your thumb down to reach the A/B/X/Y buttons basically turning your Nintendo switch into a hybrid steam deck of sorts (a unique steam deck only plays Nintendo games, 😅) – a new feature that has been added, that are bumper buttons that are next to the analog sticks function as A and B respectively, meanwhile, the back buttons are pre-programmed like the original model. And they function quite well Now let us get onto the main feature: unlike the previous model, this one can be docked to a TV screen! Granted you need to use the special adapter in the output outlet, but it works! Now depending on whether you plug this into a television with an HDMI port or you use the Genki shadow cast(original or 2, 2pro) you can still get it on your computer…. And if you’re close enough, you can actually use the device as a controller because it is technically wired as a direct controller just like the Nexigo Gripcon, and therefore, will be no input lag. Now, there is one slight flaw that shares with its predecessor…. It draws power from the unit itself, so expect shorter battery life in handheld mode. Of course, if you play this in dark mode, the battery will not be affected as much. Plus, if you have it docked in a switch dock, you can use this as a separate wire controller.(Theoretically) Do I recommend this? Honestly, if you don’t own any games use any of the NFC features, then I can totally recommend this, after all it has Gyro, It has mild rumble and more importantly there will be no lag with inputs.(just remember to enable pro wired controller settings.) Is it comfortable? Depends on your hand size. For big hands it’s OK as long as you remember the button layout on the side and the back.

I was a little skeptical of this at first. I saw a couple of reviews about defective units, but after watching a few review videos and comparison videos to other decks, I decided to get this one. Couldn’t be happier! Yes, ergonomics for the right stick and pad are a little awkward, but it’s easily offset by the rear programmable buttons and it was easy to adapt to them. Really love that it replaces my docking station and came with the HDMI adapter. The only thing I wish it came with is a carrying case, but for the price, understandable. Build feels solid and I love the purple accents. I haven’t been able to play my switch handheld in a while because I’ve had multiple sets of joycons develop drift, so I’m happy to finally be able to play my switch on the go again.

the controller in general is good but the docking mode of my nitro deck doesn’t work i bought the used one so i guess thats why

BUY THIS. It came in a sleek nice bag, I did order it to be put into a Amazon package over fear of it being stolen or mishandled during shipping, they used really tough tape, now that might look like a down sight BUT it makes it so if someone tries to open it before hand it’ll be easy to tell especially because the tape rips easily, the design is beautiful and smooth, a lot of people mentioned how the buttons are but for me the way they put them felt so nice! I was actually worried about buying this because of the criticism, one thing you can’t really see through photos is just how sleek and textured it is, you get what you pay for! I love how it’s also a dock and the purple and transparent shell

The last time I bought a cracked device straight from the manufacturer there was something wrong with the programming to where it wasn't working properly some buttons weren't in working order. I got a replacemen from the beautiful people at Amazon. I was hoping this one wouldn't be broken on arrival. My prayers were indeed answered! Works perfectly and this version you can actually change/map buttons with the app! Huge change from the previous version I had! Hopefully this lasts longer than the replacement that I got from Amazon!

READ BEFORE YOU BUY!! It is a shame that I am only able to give this one star as no one wanted this product to be great more than myself but after ordering and using two nitro deck plus units both stopped working before the 48 hour mark! It feels slightly awkward to hold but is solid quality and I would love it if it actually worked. The buttons stop registering completely and after resetting the nitro deck and switch still nothing this was the case for both of the units I received. Please save your self the trouble and heart ache and don’t purchase this product!

Llego un dia antes, lo compre a buen precio vendiendo y enviado por Amazon estados unidos. El pad se se de buena calidad. En mi caso tengo una switch oled de Pokémon Escarlata y Púrpura, y para evitar que se raye el diseño trasero que es lo que mas lees de este accesorio, porque trae relieve le puse papel contact negro para recubrir el panel trasero donde se deliza el switch. Quedo perfecto y ni se nota. Con mis pruebas vi que asi no raya la carcasa. Ahora para actualizarlo debes usar un celular que tenga NFC para que se conecte con lla aplicación. Creeme lo necesitas actualizar. La aplicación te dice los pasos. Algo que eh notado es que no despierta la consola. Si o si requiere el boton de encendido para despertar la consola. Y hasta el momento ah funcionado bien su respuesta es muy buena al estar conectado por el puerto C de la consola corre excelente. Antes de usarlo debes activar la opción de Establecer Comunicación por cable del control Pro como Activada, para que funcione si no pensaras que vino fallado. Digo lo dice el manual pero nadie lo lee. En fin es perfecto para gente adulta que usa el nintendo switch. Muy cómodo para los FPS.

I love this product so much, I'm on my second Nitro Deck+

It hurts to use this.... The A button simply does not make sense. App also crashes on my pixel I can't program the buttons. Wasted.

Quiet good, but finding a case to carrying is a bit hard and the texture of the thumbsticks are a bit rough
