Unravel your self sabotage
The book contains great antidotal and research based science on how to break out of our, or at least my, abilitie to self sabotage, and focus on my pursuits less encumbered by fear of failure. Great, useful read.

The Inside Game
Early into the book but thoroughly enjoying it so far. This might be Steve's best one yet! Looking forward to getting a few free days over the weekend, some good coffee, and really getting stuck in to the subject matter

Found this book at just the right time
Win the Inside Game by Steve Magness landed in my hands right as I was preparing for a major life transition. While I still felt the discomfort of change, this book helped me keep taking the next step. It grounded me in my values, reminded me of who I am and what I’m pursuing, and gave me tools to move forward with clarity instead of fear. His insights helped me regulate my nervous system and stay steady through uncertainty. It’s a book I’ll return to when I need to recenter and remember what real resilience looks like.

Invest in yourself
A timely book that helps the reader to navigate a world that seems more and more influenced by the attention economy within our "smart" devices. Magness's ability to write in a style that the everyday person can comprehend while still appealing to the literary preferences of someone with a scientific background is impressive and captivating. Well worth the read and the investment in yourself.

Super valuable for coaches, athletes, parents, teachers, and others
Magness does a great job of weaving together science and research findings with practical applications and experiences from his past. As high school coach I found myself regularly stopping to note down things that would be great to share with my kids, incorporate into our team practices, or adjust the way I support and communicate with the kids (and parents) on our team. I found this book really helpful as a coach, but the practical applications here are super valuable for any coach, athlete, parent, teacher, or really anyone looking to live in a healthier, more purposeful way in our current societal context.

A much needed corrective to the mass of Insta bro gibberish masquerading as evidence in the field of high performance...

Steve knocked it out of the park with this one. I just finished it and enjoyed it the whole way through! You get the best of both worlds in this one — a bit more personal than his previous books as he gets into the intricacies of whistleblowing but still the same evidence-based exploration into a timeless and important subject. Couldn’t recommend it enough, I will be gifting this one to friends and family ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brilliant read and brilliant tool for managing life. There are ideas and nuggets of wisdom on every page. You can read it once just the get new perspectives, or use it to guide you in developing yourself, or supporting others either in sport or in life. We don't teach how to achieve sustainable and satisfying development on the road towards mastery - but this book does
