Not the best for bubble tea, but still good
3.5 stars These last really long, so great value for money. I do like the flavours, however they do tast a little squash like, so if you want this for bubble tea, it won't be the same, but still good.

great value for money
i absolutely love bubble tea/fruity teas. but with making ice/fruity teas its a lot of effort to brew and then cool ect. well these are fantastic for cutting out the faff of brewing, its just like making a drink of squash, each one does about 6-7 cups depending on strength which is personal choice but i find these great value for money. my favorite has to be the blue grape it reminds me of a blue slushy but with a American grape Fanta twist :) once opened just store in the fridge i usually use one within 8 weeks and still tastes great. i have not noticed any problems with leaking or damages to function once opened, just make sure you keep it up right in the fridge just incase, but i have accidently dropped them and not lost any.

Super-strong sucralose squash
These little bottles are essentially just a double-concentrated squash, so thick that they’re almost a syrup. They’re intensely strong, and a 20ml serving (just a few teaspoons) can be diluted quite far and still retain a hefty dose of both colour and flavour. It’s very simple to prepare, just stick in some bubble pearls, and hey presto, you’ve got a bubble tea that’s almost as good as what you’d pay several quid for in one of the current trend of bubble tea shops. I’d say “almost as good” rather than “just as good” though, although it depends which bubble tea shop you’re talking about. One of the things I like about bubble tea shops is the unashamed sweetness of them, they’re so sugary that they feel like a dessert, yet here, in order to be ‘low calorie’, there’s sucralose instead of sugar. Sucralose never convinces me as a sugar alternative, and sure enough there’s a slightly metallic tang to this that does tilt the overall taste more towards ‘low sugar Robinsons squash’ and away from the exotic and indulgent sweet fruitiness that I prefer. If you want a low sugar bubble tea, then by all means just buy some sugar-tax-exempt fruit squash and don’t dilute it quite as much as the instructions say. Considering each one of these little bottles costs over six quid, I feel like sugar tax should’ve been included on that and I could’ve made my own dietary choices about how strong and sugary to make it. The flavours are good though, and distinct and instantly recognisable. Four of the five are straightforward fruit flavours that are very familiar, even melon, and which do a good job of replicating a rich sweet version of that fruit. The ‘blue grape’ flavour is more of a novelty because of the unnatural colour, and the flavour lands somewhere between tasting like real grapes (which I like) and bubblegum-flavoured slushies (which I also like), so I’d have to pick that one as my favourite flavour despite it being the most unrealistic of the bunch. Because of the price, and the sucralose, I can’t give these five stars. But they do let you do a good homemade imitation of a shop-bought bubble tea, slightly cheaper (but not that much cheaper!).
