I'm a seeing adult learner of braille and even though this book is targeted at children, I still love it. The grade 1 uncontracted braille is perfect for beginners, the dots are painted so you can clearly see them for visual recognition in case you're having trouble reading them by touch, and the tactile animal pictures are honestly just really fun. The sentences are simple and relatively easy to read, and there aren't too many of them on a page. I get such a great sense of accomplishment whenever I finish a sentence and it makes sense. The dot height is more consistent compared to some other DK books like Shapes and Counting, and the bigger book size feels nice too. Downsides: as a seeing person, if you look at the book and even catch a glimpse of the text, you will get "spoiled" - reading braille is too easy when you already know what it says. I have to often cover up the text so I don't get spoiled. There are also some places where dot height isn't fully consistent, especially near the left binding where they get squished a little. Overall though, I love this book and as a beginner braille reader it is my absolute favorite to read so far.
