Kingston Digital HyperX Fury 64GB USB 3.0 (HXF30/64GB)

I've only had "regular" usb sticks beforehand one from Sandisk, and Toshiba both of which 8 gb, i bought those from regular stores like radioshack and bestbuy accordingly, ( the second one i got for free with a labtop purchase) ANYWAYS When it comes down to performance this blows the other two out of the park, it was about 5-6 times faster then the other two i have in terms of data transfer and overall consistency. AND I WAS USING USB 2.0! in terms of actual numbers, i was transferring files beforehand on my other Usb and i got around. 1-5 MBs transfer rate. ( the transfer rate was often not consistently to good, and dropped down to 1-2 MBS at best at times.) NOW, with this Hyper x fury, i was able to get transfer rates of 11-20 MBS , depending on the type of file for whatever reason, and the lowest it would drop is around.. 5 MBS and it would never drop below that in terms of consistency. on larger files. ALL of this was done on USB 2.0 not 3.0 so i can't even begin tom comprehend how great the transfer and write speeds will be. OVERALL would recommend to buy, and would buy again ( or a newer version if they ever produce one) NOT TO MENTION it looks very sleak, much better than the competition. However with

Awesome price and very fast. This drive performs very well when on a usb 2.0 connection, and I know it will fly whenever I get a usb 3.0 connection. It writes at 24 MB/sec and reads at 35 MB/sec on USB 2.0, which is much faster than any other flash drive I own. The only negative is that it has a removable cap that doesn't attach securely to the other end at all. I give it 10/10 for performance, and 2/10 for form factor. If you plan to carry this on your keychain, look elsewhere.

This thing is excellent does its job and does it "Fast" no need for additional software just "plug and play". The "Lid Cover" can actually be attached to the end of the stick.

I am so mad right now because I bought this to work in my PS4, and it won't even plug into it. I already had USB drives that didn't work, and now I have another. The PS4 USB port is embedded in a groove in the front of the machine, and this drive will not fit in the groove. The only way it may work is if I now buy a USB extender, which I'm on my way to RadioShack to see if they have one because I don't feel like waiting for another delivery by mail. Sooooooooooooo irritating.

It's a good flash drive, but it isn't as fast as I expected. I mean, it's twice the fast compared to an regular usb3 flash drive, but I expected it could take advantage of all the potential of the usb3 standar

So far the USB back up drive is working as desired. I'm about to put it to a new test when I download Windows 10 and back up on this drive.

**see update at end** My initial knee-jerk reaction was to give only 1 star but that wouldn't be fair for what may be a good product. So my rating reflects how suitable the HyperX was for me: no bueno. I chose Kingston Digital HyperX Fury for its purported speeds, as well as its design. Even though not rubberized as I originally thought, the ridges on the side and cutouts on the cap let me grasp the drive & cap pretty securely. So I'd recommend it to those with limited finger mobility or strength. Note, however, that there is now a newer/better (and cheaper!) version of this product--see Kingston Digital 32GB USB 3.0 100MB/s Read 45MB/s Write DataTraveler (DTR30G2/32GB) I got this to initially use as a bootable device and later for small file transfers. Problem is that once made bootable, it is difficult (if not impossible) to reformat Kingston flash drives (as well as some other brands) for general use. Having used flash drives since a 64MB stick was a treat (oh yeah), I was skeptical about my friend's info (a flash drive is a flash drive, high performance or not, right?). AFAIK, bootability derives from discrete coding within the copied file(s)? Or has that evolved into something different as well? Anyway, in case it helps someone in future, I also discovered this: USB Data Traveler DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 Format Utility see [...] (Note the warning that Kingston Format Utility is only supported on the DTHX30/xx) Me, I'm SOL re: this one-time use of 4.3GB from a 32GB flash drive. :( # # # # # # # # # # EDIT/UPDATE 12 Sept 2016: FWIW, Kingston's Format Utility *may* be used used to reformat *some* Kingston USB drives back its OEM FAT32 state. The product page for the utility states "Requirements: DTHX30/XXGB". But it worked for me on this drive even though it's an HXF30. It also worked on 2 older Kingston USBs (no idea about model#). Perhaps the utility has a too specific and/or confusing product model reference? Anyway, I thought this USB rendered useless so when upgrading to an SSD this weekend, I decided to test some work-arounds to "unlock" it. First method failed but I tried the Kingston utility next and it was super simple and worked. I then plugged the USB into my laptop, opened Windows Disk Management and re-formatted to NTFS and voila! Bricked USB now usable for file transfer and storage. As another reviewer noted, fast data transfer speeds for large,single files (e.g., 2gb+) but very slow for smaller files. IDK if it's due to particular quirk in making this drive compatible for gaming console. For smaller and smallest files, I get much faster R/W speeds from older "plain" USBs.

Le prestazioni della chiavetta rispettano quelle dichiarate. Nettamente meglio della SanDisk Cruzer Ultra che già possiedo e che attualmente ha lo stesso prezzo, probabilmente si avvicina di piu alle piu costose SanDisk Cruzer Extreme. In USB 2.0 le prestazioni sono molto buone, la chiavetta risulta realmente agile. In USB 3.0 non ho avuto modo di provarla, sicuramente c'è di meglio ma per il costo attuale è probabilmente la migliore scelta per avere prestazioni considerate accettabili in generale. La copertura in plastica è piuttosto solida e il tappetto che si aggancia bene sul retro è davvero comodo. Pienamente soddisfatto.

This USB memory stick is really good. 64GB capacity allows me to carry all the files I need and still have room for other things. The read amd write speeds are fast which is why I chose the HyperX Fury USB. I would definitely recommend this product for its price and the large capacity. Edit 08/01/2016: I have bought another 64GB USB as a back up USB stick. It is just as good as I expected it to be. External Storage is no longer a problem for me.

La pendrive piú veloce che abbia mai toccato. Nonostante la kingston faccia anche pendrive da 1 tb di 500mb/s di trasferimento questa secondo me é la migliore. L'unica pecca, che non ne inficia minimamente il funzionamento é che il tappino, che normalmente sulle kingston si incastra bene nella parte posteriore, su questa quí cade facilmente quando messo dietro. Tuttavia Quando inserito normalmente per la chiusura del drive rimovibile funziona a perfezione e si incastra bene.

Es de una calidad gigantesca, va a una velocidad tremenda y está muy buen construído, nada endeble. Es más pequeño que otro pen de Kingston G3 que tengo, mucho más robusto y con la clavija mucho más profunda. Transfiere y lee archivos como un rayo tanto en USB 2.0 como en 3.0. Las velocidades 90/30 mb/s se quedan cortas, esas son para archivos pequeñitos en USB 2.0. Llega a los 200/180 en picos con archivos de gran tamaño y muy fragmentados. No es sólo en PC o portátil, el rendimiento es inmenso, tiempo de respuesta muy corto conectado OTG a móviles, Smart TV, Android TV, al coche……. Vaya pedazo de fluidez al reproducir 3D SBS. Me ha dejado con la boca abierta, tanto que creo que me haré con algunos más de 32 y 64 gigas. Tiene una pinta estupenda y se ve duradero. Gradioso como todos los productos de Kingston que he probado.

Excellent rapport qualité prix, je dirais même que la qualité est supérieur au prix ! - D'une bonne taille, ni trop grosse ni trop petite 6cm (un peut plus de deux phalange de mon annulaire :d) - Capuchon qui ce clipse à l'avant comme a l'arrière. - Capacité utile de 58,6 Go sur 64GB annoncé Mais le grand plus pour mois c'est la vitesse de transfert, sur l’emballage il y marqué 90 mb/s en lecture et 30 mb/s en écriture mais la réalité est que ces taux sont dépassé de loin ! Testé avec CrystalDiskMark 5.0.2 elle dépasse les 203 mb/s en lecture et 88 mb/s en écriture (voir photo). Seule manque, la LED d'activité mais pour mois ce n'est pas gênant.
