Reacting to negative review's...
Just received my walker and had the same problem with it leaning backwards until I realized the bottom bars had to be extended... duh... Aso had a problem mounting the basket until I tightened the clips a little to make them smaller and they were able to snap in better... double duh... All in all, I'm very satisfied with its mobility; light enough for me to get in and out of the car and overall quality... Read the instructions and use your common sense a little more and you may be able to put it together properly for good results...

Dangerous Rollator….beware! ALERT; My mistake. Changing review from a 1 Star to a 5 star.
I received my Drive Medical 3 wheel rollator yesterday and put it together right away. The minute I test drove it, the front wheel came up off the ground and nearly dumped me on the floor. So it won’t even support you which is the whole purpose of a rollator. To give you support. The basket is a mess….impossible to install so it’s stable enough to carry anything. I gave up on that as well. I was so disappointed because I needed a smaller device to use inside my home. I have a Drive 4 wheeler which is excellent, but it is heavy enough to support you leaning on it and would never dump you popping a wheelie. I have to box it all up and return it today. It is unacceptable….in fact very dangerous. I am so disappointed. Amazon tagged this device as ‘Recommended’. They need to remedy that notation immediately. Boy did I goof up. Now my only complaint is maybe a little better instructions and bigger photos. I have changed my review from a 1 to a 5. I should have known. I have a Drive Nitro walker that is excellent and now that my son spotted the problem with the new Rollator, I have another Drive walker for in the house. My son, thank heaven, stopped by and complimented me on the rollator. I explained I had to send it back because it tipped and wouldn’t support my weight. I was afraid of falling. He had the same results when he tried to walk with it. Then he looked down at the lowest bars and said, OHHHHHH…..here we go. You have to extend the lower bars between the front and back wheels on both sides which gives you a larger/balanced wheel base. I tried it after he adjusted it and voila! Worked beautifully. I’m so happy I couldn’t wait to post this in case others have the same problem with performance and instructions. I had filed for a return but now all is well. Did I mention that I’m happy?

Lightweight and easy to maneuver.
I love this walker. It's so light and easy to maneuver into the car. It has helped me to walk better and faster. I'm confident I won't fall over when my legs and hips don't cooperate. It also fits in most spaces. 2 baskets. The handles are higher than the big rollators.

does the job
I have a heavy duty rollator for out and about but I needed something for in the house. especially the kitchen. this basket and tray are wonderful' the basket folds flat but I never need to take it off so I added some wire ties to keep it in shape even if I take it off. Also if you don't watch the hooks that hold the basket an tray, it gets cockeyed and things fall off. In the beginning I misunderstood and didnt extend the rear strut and it was not at all stable so please grab the rear wheels and pull towards you. this finishes set up. Otherwise its pretty straight forward. It is balanced so well that I can use it to get to a standing position from a seated position. turns on a dime and carries everything I need. I'd absolutely recommend

I WILL NOT USE THIS OR ANY OTHER 3-WHEEL ROLLATOR FROM DRIVE. THEY ARE COMPLETELY UNSAFE!
Drive Medical 3 Wheel Rollator, Flame Red If there was an option for Zero or a Negative number of Stars for a rating, I would use that. One star does not begin to convey my view of this contraption. The first order for this rollator arrived Late Dec. 2017 and when I was assembling the locking knobs, one side would not tighten, it just spun freely. After exchanging the first knob for the second one, same result. The tubing threads were obviously stripped. I advised Amazon Customer Service immediately and received a replacement via overnight shipment. I assembled this one without incident and have been using it as a supplement to my 4 wheel rollator by Drive that I use most of the day. The 3 wheel one was purchased because it was considerably lighter and easier for me to get in and out of the car. I am retired so I am not using this every day. I have, within the last two weeks, discovered much the same issues as I did with the very first 3-wheel rollator, which should be evidence enough of a defect in workmanship. I have attached pictures, but the really disturbing failure was that the two very large (3/4” head) bolts that attach the front wheel fork? to the frame and provide rigidity to the entire rollator had both worked loose, one had fallen out completely at an unknown place and time. Luckily the second one had worked itself out most of the way, so I was able to tighten it, how long that would last is unknown. The symptom that had me starting to look for something that was either stripped or loose was that changing directions using the handlebar, the whole rollator would lean over in that direction, completely ready to fall, causing me to NOT have balance , which is the main reason I need this device to begin with. And the same old issue of the threads in the tubing stripping out so that the locking knobs (2 on one side of the device; see pictures) spin uselessly. Drive Customer Service has not responded in any way (even though this is clearly a case that should be handled under the "Limited Lifetime Warranty", so even though Amazon has more than lived up to their liability at the beginning of this saga, I would hope that there is hope that their reputation is not gaining any customers because of this clearly inferior product and lack of support from Drive and step in accordingly. I really do NOT want another one of the 3 wheel rollators. If a credit is issued to me that would be redeemable on a 4-wheel rollator that would be light enough for me to put in and out of a car trunk, but provide the support that I need and also provide me with confidence that it would not fall apart while I am using it and doing me an injury, that would work. Otherwise a complete refund issued to me directly would suffice. Awaiting ANYbody's reply (but not holding my breath).

My second one of these great walkers
Great for smaller areas with good maneuverability over using a cane alone. Folds easily and fits in a car or suv just fine. This is my second one, as I already had one I use in the house. The basket that comes with it is useless the way it fits on the walker, but the pouch that is permanent works great so the basket is not really needed.

Lightweight, easy to fold, perfect for taking in the car
I bought this rollator for a specific need, as a "companion" to the heavier 4 wheel rollator I use at home. I needed something lightweight, easy to fold and which would fit into the car. This 3 wheel rollator met all those needs perfectly. I can fold it with one hand and lift it into the back of the car myself, without any help. It was also very easy to assemble. With regards to the complaints about stability, here is my experience. 1. Extend the wheels *all the way* before you try to use it. They pull out and lock into place. 2. Don't try to use the rollator to pull yourself up from a chair. It's not meant to do that. Push yourself up to a standing position using the chair arms then reach for the rollator. (Didn't the rehab nurses teach us to do that anyway?) 3. Stability: Your own experience may vary, and caution is always needed when using mobility aids. I found this rollator to be stable in normal walking. In testing, I had to intentionally place my hands and elbows in a specific position in order to tilt the rollator back so the front wheel left the ground. It didn't raise up with normal walking, only after I moved my hands to the back of the grips and intentionally dropped my elbows was I able to get it to pull up. I also found I could tilt the rollator onto a left or right back wheel if I changed the position of my hands/elbows and deliberately tried to do so. It didn't tilt in normal walking. I have (so far) had a good experience with this rollator (no stability issues) and have happily used it in the mall and at a strip shopping center. Each person is different as to how they walk, but I had no stability issues when walking with this 3 wheeler.

The Good, the Bad, and the UGLY
Let's get the ugly out of the way first. There is a nasty pinch point on the hand brakes. When you release the parking brake you can pinch a finger if you have your hand improperly on the handgrip. I have small hands and it is just too easy. I don't understand how this handbrake design could ever pass as safe for the disabled. Shame on the design engineers. Now for some good. This little buggy has made a huge difference in my ability to run a house and care for pets. I was using 2 canes, so unable to carry anything and therefore depending on others too much. This rig gives me the support of two canes and a way to move things from one place to another. Yippy! I am back in control. ;-) I am short, so the handgrips are at the lowest position. This makes the walker very stable but limits places to attach accessories like cup holders. It may not feel as stable if the handgrips are at the highest point. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to try one of these 3-wheelers. For most of the complainers I have one comment. You don't give car keys to a teen until they have some Drivers Ed. Same goes for elderly or disabled. You need to learn to drive these things and use what you learn 100% of the time in order to be safe AND you need to use common sense. These are not for everyone. Issues you need to know about --- You will encounter some issues with thresholds (no matter how low-profile) but I have found approach techniques can overcome these issues. Taking a threshold straight-on is not a problem but our house is congested and does not accommodate this. It takes practice. My low-pile rugs are not nearly as much trouble to navigate. I live in a double-wide mobile home with 2 1/2 baths. I discovered this walker only fits through the doorway of the master bath but not the other two. This is not a problem for me but could be for others in similar housing. The bedroom doorways are fine. Things that could be better --- The pouch is not as useful as it appears. It is large with no compartments and only a one-way zipper. Everything goes straight to the bottom and I am unable to bend to retrieve them. For me it is very impractical, so I removed it. If you plan to use this outside you may enjoy carrying a sweater or purse in it. I don't believe it will hold up well if you use it like a purse going in and out of it multiple times a day. The basket is not as useful as it could be. The handle for folding the walker sticks up inside the basket limiting the capacity severely. If you don't need to fold the basket for transport, do yourself a favor and use pliers to tighten all the connectors to make it study. The wire spacing is rather large and I find things are constantly falling through the openings. I lined the bottom of the basket. The tray is not a useful as it could be. Mine is warped and does not sit well on the basket. It is also just a bit too small to put a full size dinner plate on it. The plastic is slippery so things move around. If you go over a threshold with a drink you are likely to tip it. Just a wee-bit bigger and a built in cupholder would make all the difference in the world. Useful accessories make all the difference! Remove the pouch and get a 12" wide wheelchair/walker pouch with pockets that fit your needs. With the pouch gone you can flip the fold-up handle to point down to increase the capacity and usefulness of the basket. A shoestring to tether the tray to the basket helps. I found a set of cane holders that work great and my grabber has a place on the opposite handlebar. Now I am ready for anything.
