At first it seemed a good idea to have a coffee jar under the grinder, however, the point of grinding your own beans is for freshness. You wouldn't store them in an unsealed jar. The grinder has to be removed in order to easily dump the grounds into the pot. The bottom of the grinding burr has no centering bearing so the burr flops around and the resulting grounds are a mix of different sized chunks. It needs suction cup feet, or at least rubber feet or you will scratch the heck out of your kitchen counter. I like the locking grind adjustment screw and the old fashioned look. The coffee grinds easily.
