I am so impressed, great saw and blade at a big box store price. Heavy feels and cuts great.
Heavy box. That’s good. Everything came in great shape. I installed the blade, squared up the fence. That’s easy just stuck a speed square into the cutting slot on the left edge and slid the fence up to it. Want 45 flop the square NDA. There is a scale ruler although hard to read. But square up zero double check the 45 and your scale will work perfect. I’m going to Engrave a bright white line so the scale ruler (protractor) is easier to read. You’ve all probably seen 7/8” concrete form stakes. They’re steel and pretty hard. The end was mushroomed over from many hits from a sledge hammer. To test the saw I slid the pipe adapter which is heavy duty over the fence. It’s very strong and will hold the pipe off the table no vibration etc. I just wanted to clean up the stake and test the saw. I locked the stake in place and hit the switch to turn on the saw. Immediately senced the torque. I wasn’t hanging on tight to the handle and the saw blade was pushed toward me for a second. I have a lot of wood cutting Dewalt slide compound saws. Those are pretty powerful bit not like this saw. As I started lowering the blade to the stake, slowly because it was the first time I used a cold cut saw and didn’t want to damage the blade. DIDNT feel anything looked around at the stake and was already half through. Super clean cut. There are a lot more expensive saws. I will never use this professionally since I’m retired and doing little jobs here and there. Unless you are a factory cutting thousands of parts, you can’t go wrong with this saw. Checked the blade after use. It was still brand new. Metal was cold. A couple sparks at first then nothing. Great well built saw for a great price. Just buy it. I gotta say I’ve never cut steel more than a couple days here and there, just like my shop of many tools. I do a lot of different things. My shops full of grizzly tools. Less than half the price than delta, my 10 inch 3 hp cabinet saw which cost me about 1200 bucks over 30 years ago is still working great. This evolution saw will also with good maintenance will out live me.

10,000 Stars – Built for Real Work
If I could give this 10,000 stars, I would. This chop saw is everything we need in a professional fabrication environment—powerful, accurate, and rock solid. It cuts clean, tracks true, and holds up under daily use without hesitation. Setup was straightforward, and once dialed in, it just performs. We use this in our shop at Ferrigno Freedom Welding Services, and it’s become one of those tools you immediately trust. No shortcuts, no fighting the tool—just consistent, reliable results. This is the kind of equipment that earns its place on the floor. I genuinely don’t see myself ever needing another chop saw. If you’re a fabricator, welder, or serious DIYer who values quality tools that work as hard as you do, this one delivers. — Ferrigno Freedom Welding Services

Outstanding saw, and excellent customer service
After using this saw for several projects I am very impressed with it. I have used the Dewalt version of this saw at work for years, so when it was time to set up my home welding & fabrications shop i knew I wanted a cold cutoff saw and I looked at several models on amazon including the Dewalt and this saw. I decided to take a chance on this saw due to the positive reviews and lower price and I'm so glad I did. Out of the box I was impressed with the build quality and the angle clamp. It even includes a v-block for cutting round stock and pipe. The angle adjustment is easy to adjust, solid and accurate, way better than the Dewalt. It cuts mild steel angle and tubing very quickly and the cuts are nice and clean almost burr free. When my saw first arrived and I went to install the blade I discover that it had shipped with the wrong blade, I got the 15" blade and this is Evolutions 14" saw. I contacted Evolution customer service by email and explained the mistake to them. Their reply was prompt and courteous, they apologized for the mistake and promptly shipped the correct blade out to me. So in conclusion if you are looking for a metal cutoff saw you can't go wrong with this Evolution.

Good quality, plenty of power
I have used an abrasive type cut-off saw for years. With a project requiring dozens of cuts on heavy stock, the consumable chop-saw blades were a big cost. Now with this carbide blade, I complete the same cuts with almost no additional cost. The saw is no longer a "consumable" like welding supplies I must factor into the project price. Additionally, the cuts are clean, square and accurate. Cuts are faster and finish cool to the touch. The frame and base are machined cast metal which resists deflection under load. The down side of this unit is the vice handle is flimsy. I have already had to remove it to straighten the tiny threaded screw that holds it in place. It will be broken in no time and need replacement. Also, I wish it had a "zero-clearance" blade throat so small cut off ends would not go zinging into the throat opening like a bullet. That condition also resulted in a channel-iron cut off end jamming the blade causing premature blade damage. So be extra careful trimming end cuts that can fall in. Other than those minor issues, it is a good tool and a very good price. I would buy the same model again.

Whats not to like? After years of using an abrasive chop saw this is heaven. This machine is very solidly built and very accurate out of the box. I checked the fence angle indicator with an angle guage and it was bang on. The blade is a true 90 with the deck. The only alteration was to replace the downward travel stop screw (existing-m8x1.25x50) with a m8x1.25x45 to allow a bit more travel down for maximum blade cutting width at the table. IF YOU DO THIS spin the blade by hand to make sure it is just clearing the chip collector drawer to prevent damage and embaresment. the supplied 66t blade works very well. my first cut was a 45 on 2inx3in tubing and with very minimal touch up I had a perfect 90. As for blade life I havent used the saw enough to say and I know from reading other reviews that I have to take it easy and let the blade do the work. Quite a change from hanging onto an abrasive saw trying to find the balance between max cut speed and blowing another breaker then either quenching or waiting for the piece to cool so you can start grinding the cut to some semblance of accuracy. This saw is 2-3 times faster and much more accurate than any abrasive saw that I have ever seen. Another huge added plus is much less crap all over the shop from saw and grinders. The saw produces chips which don't go far and I just swipe them up with a release type magnet. I did a fair amount of research before buying and features-quality AND GOOD PRICE sold me.

Great saw. Extremely happy with my purchase, however, there was no blade in the box. It states on the box and in the booklet that the 14" blade is included, alas mine was not but, not a big deal. I called Evolution customer service who answered immediately, and they shipped me a blade by courier. Couldn't be happier with saw and Evolution's customer service !!!!!!!

I'm a retired DIY'er. Love this saw. This saw was made to cut metal the right way with clean quick cuts. Way cleaner than abrasive saw. Solid base and vice, holds the piece you want cut securely, safely and it cuts your piece accurately and square. right out of the box. I cut 5" x 1/4" C channel in about 20 seconds without any strain or mess, where as it would take much much more time and you'll have a larger mess of dust and waste of material with a flimsy base abrassive saw. Convinient chip tray makes clean up quicker. The blade and metal stays cool as it cuts and you can handle your piece without burning your hands. Good company to deal with when you have questions about their product. Very glad I spent the money on this saw. I'll easily make my money back, saving from buying 14" abrasive blades.
