This is a substantial, information-dense book filled with small print and extraordinary depth. Yet despite its complexity, it is written in a way that is captivating, clear, and surprisingly retainable. As a novice in this field who nonetheless finds human behavior endlessly fascinating, I was struck by how relevant and applicable the material is to everyday social and professional interactions. For context, I am someone who often starts books with enthusiasm but does not always finish them. That pattern did not apply here. I read the introduction, the ethics section, the disclaimers, and the author’s Code of Honor carefully—and I have not skipped a page since. I find it genuinely difficult to put this book down at night. While my professional background is in fashion, I have a long-standing personal interest in psychology and human behavior. This book captured my full academic attention in a way few ever have. It is thoughtful, disciplined, and deeply engaging. It is also the most expensive book I have purchased since college—and I understand exactly why. Chase Hughes is sharing an entire career’s worth of research, insight, and hard-earned experience. That level of depth, transparency, and responsibility is rare. This book will change how you observe people, conversations, and situations. I believe strongly that knowledge of this kind carries responsibility, and the author makes his ethical stance unmistakably clear. I took the Code of Honor seriously and intend to use what I am learning to bring more light into the world. If you are interested in human behavior, ethics, influence, and awareness—and you value substance paired with integrity—I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Review: WHAT MOST OTHER BOOKS HAVE MISSED - As a college professor I’ve analyzed hundreds of books. Let me say, this one is different. This book truly prepares the reader with knowledge and skills that I’ve not seen anywhere else. Everyday, folks navigate the world without truly understanding the actions and behaviors around them. Here, you can uncover the how and why on a deeper level. We’ve all had those moments where we look back on an interaction and wonder what could I have said or done differently? These moments of self-reflection lead you to want to explore body language, linguistics, and influence. After all, it feels great when a conversation goes well. There’s been massive growth in the number of these texts. But the knowledge growth in those has been modest at best. That is, until now. The OPs manual has what many of the others have missed. It blends a huge knowledge base with practical skills and drills. It's nearly 800 pages! It explores all areas of human behavior and influence. Not just what’s being said, but every aspect of the interaction comes into focus. Confidence. Authority. Connection. How the different areas of your brain come into play. How to profile who you're speaking to. It has tactical formulas, scripts, and a training plan. Plus the resources and references, the glossary and graphics all open more ways to understand and apply the material. You might wonder, is it really that different, is it really worth it? Yes, it’s that different. And yes, it’s worth every cent. Especially since you’ll sense that so much surrounding you is under your sway. And today it's worth it to know. I love everything about this book. Every time I pick it up I’m excited about what I’ll learn. It’s amazing just how much there is. I think you’ll love it.
