I'm giving these a 5 star rating which is actually a 5 star rating with the caveat that you need to realize that you get what you pay for - - - these are fantastic if you only store light weight items in them, don't need a tight fitting lid, and don't need to move or carry them around from room to room. They are great for storage but I definitely would not recommend for toys or supplies that kids would be reaching for daily. If I had my kids' Lego's or art markers in them and my kids were pulling these bins off the shelf daily, the Lego's and markers would probably spend more time scattered on the floor than they would contained in the bins. These bins and lids are just not secure or sturdy enough to contend with anything other than careful handling. After a major renovation of our kitchen, pantry and laundry room, I was on a major re-organizing binge. I ordered 2 sets of these bins, and also ordered two sets of the identical, but tad larger 7qt (13.75" long) bins (also by IRIS). The 6qt & 7qt are almost the same size (the 7qt are just about an inch longer) and they stack on each other well. I needed both sizes because not all of my cabinets are 14" deep. The 7qt bins are 13.75" long and for 14" cabinets, they are perfect. If you have the cabinet depth, the 7qt makes more efficient use of every inch. Think about what you need these for, realize these are lightweight storage before ordering and you will be happy with them. These are very thin and flexible and though the lids do sort of click on, as soon as you pick up or handle the bin, the Iid pops right off. Also note that the bottoms are not completely flat. There is a slight ridge (no more than 1/8") that runs about an inch in around the perimeter and crosswise in the middle of the bin. I assume this is there to help to reinforce stability and strength. In most situations this doesn't matter at all. The only time it matters is if you're standing small diameter things in the bin because unless the bin is packed full, those will topple over. I'd thought of using this in my pantry to stand condiment bottles in, but the uneven bottoms don't allow smaller bottles to stand up straight. I was previously using empty salad mix clamshell bins for storage and would double them up to give them more strength. One of these IRIS bins has about the same rigidity of a doubled clamshell bin. I'm using these in my pantry and laundry room to hold things like tea bags, coffee filters, sponges, plastic utensils, napkins, band aids/gauze squares. They're absolutely great for these kinds of light items. I can reach for a bin with one hand, pull it out and not need to support the weight of it with my other hand. If heavier items were stored in these bins, you'd need to definitely use two hands rather than just grasp a side or end. They fact that they're thin also makes them great for using as organizers in deeper drawers. The sides are vertical and because of this, they abut each other efficiently side by side without handles or thick rims taking up space. I'm using them without lids in my deep drawers to corral Rubbermaid food storage lids, immersion blender and mixer/food processor attachments. I'm ordering another set of the 7qt to use in my dresser drawers for socks, sports bras, undergarments etc. In my experience so far, every order I've received came with cracked bins and/or lids. Outer shipping boxes were fine, but it seems that shipping damage is to be expected because they just aren't packed very well. The items are nicely nested in the packing box however there is no padding or protection around or between them. They are packed in 2 stacks side by side and all the cracks were on the inside corners where the two stacks butted up against each other. A simple sheet of foam between the two stacks may have prevented this damage. I kept a couple of orders that came with cracked lids since I used many of the bins without lids anyway and there were enough in-tact lids to serve my needs. I did need to return an order that came with cracked bins though. Of course Amazon was amazing in letting me return the one set, but that also meant I needed to order a replacement. For some reason, I was only given the option to return . . . not return and replace. I had to place a new order and (dang it) the price had gone up from my original Black Friday sale price. Overall, very happy with these. Know what to expect and you will be too.

I am moving and ordered 3 crates of these things to organize my closets, garage, and pantry.. You can see everything inside the box. Yes they’re a little flimsy, but I like that because you can kind of force the shape for anything. They’re just perfect. With some of my shoes I have to put one bootie in one box and one of the other because the bigger shoes don’t fit together, but it’s still an amazing product. And with the price point you can get as many as needed. I will order more because they stack beautifully and that may not be the case if the design changes. Some reviews mentioned the lids don’t snap on well. They are ok but if you are a perfectionist order the expensive ones.

I've ordered repeatedly for a few reasons, but have serious cons to share: Pros: * I already have some, and want my bins to stack / match / nest easily. OCD, Autism, but also just practical. * They're pretty cheap, yay. * They're clear, the right size, etc. Major Cons though: * Almost every set has at least 1 cracked bin and at least 1 cracked lid! (thankfully if you chat with Amazon Customer Service, they'll likely do a few $ refund as account credit) * Lid doesn't seal well, and easily slides sideways, bows out or buckles in the middle, etc. * Lightweight items, but not medium or heavy, only. They do crack easily if you drop them. I usually fix them with clear mailing tape, to the best of my ability. However, they're never quite the same. Summary: Cheap, nest and stack well, and useful for all sorts of things! However, easily cracked (esp. in manufacture / shipping it seems eek!), not a good lid seal, and only handles lightweight items.

Depending on what you intend to do with these, they're either ideal or terrible. If you only need them to hold light items for infrequent use, they're ideal. However, if you want them to withstand frequent movement, putting things in, taking them out, etc., they're terrible. The container and lid are quite thin and flimsy. The lids don't fit, so they'll slide around easily. But, they're cheap, so you can't expect a lot.

These are excellent for organizing and storing things all over my home. Kids toys, art supplies, bathroom, garage, etc. I don’t use the lids for most things I use them for but with the lids on they stack very well for storage. I have 2 sets of these and am about to purchase a third set to use in my pantry. They are not the most sturdy or heavy duty containers but I haven’t had one break yet and they serve their purpose very well, especially for the price.

The product is as described and very helpful with organizing and storing away things in a manner to my liking. I used these to separate all my art supplies and then ordered another set for my child’s toys. The size is idea and we are able to see everything so we know which ones to pull out. The tops do pop off off a littler easier and don’t lock on as tight then most others but it doesn’t bother us as much because it makes it easy for my toddler to open and close them.

Bonnes grandeurs et fait parfaitement dans mes étagères. Un peu fragile, mais ferme très bien. Puisque c'est des adultes qui les utilisent, ils ne se briseront pas. Je les déconseille pour des enfants.

Sometimes there is such a thing as too cheap. And that is what these are. I looked for the cheapest plastic boxes I could find on here, and these were it, coming it at a fraction of the cost of other similar boxes. And there is a reason for this. They are complete rubbish. The plastic is thinner than the thinnest takeaway box. Due to this, it is unable to maintain it shape if you try and actually store things in the box. This means that the lid will not fit. Even if you can get the lid to fit, it doesn't lock down. So if you have something in there that touches the lid, it will pop off onto the floor. Even rolls of wool will prevent you from closing the lid. Don't make the mistake I did, spend a few quid more and get something you can use
