Battery pack PBA 18V 4.0Ah W-C (18 volt System, 4.0Ah, in Carton Packaging)

Was looking for an extra battery for my Bosch green diy tools, usually they are extremely expensive, camelcamelcamel told me I had missed the 2.5AHr at 20 gbp for most of June, so when it went down to 24 gbp again on 14 Aug I jumped at the chance. Was slightly suspect that this deal might be for "old stock", but no I was sent a proper Bosch battery, made in Hungary 05/2025, via official UK importer (according to the info etched on - see photo). It also has a red button to press to see state of charge via a row of 4 LED's. So far has been fully charged, used intermittently for a couple of hours on my hedge cutter, now down to half charge, all seems great! I prefer the smaller batteries as they are smaller and lighter weight, and still last a surprisingly long time for diy use.

Arrived on time and was well secularly packaged. Charged the battery straight away but didn't need to much. Worked first time fitted and even my gardener was impressed as he had to use mine his petrol one would not start. Very pleased with total outcome Price, delivery, packaging, and usage. Great job.

Very good product as usual . I could not give it 5 stars as you cannot use the older type battery charger with it, luckily I had a new charger that I had forgotten about. Good value for money.

Large capacity battery for Bosch 18v appliances. Works fine with the chargers I have, for example, the AL 1830. It’s going to be very useful for those tools which I use for extended periods like my hedge trimmer. I’ve checked it with 3 or 4 devices like a sander and jig-saw, all fine. Battery has a useful battery check button so you can easily check the state of charge. Definitely worth paying the extra cost for this more up to date battery.

Got this one as a spare for my wireless Bosch vacuum cleaner and it perfect for the job. It can be used across all other Bosch wireless tools so it's good fit for the maintenance kit.

This is a very good battery, it has a higher capacity than my older 1.5 ah battery, the only thing for me was I needed to buy a new faster charger but that was a nice upgrade from the old one, it charges much faster. The size of the battery is flatter which means when using it with the drill it stands a lot more securely.

Have had the Bosch Unlimited 7 vacuum cleaner for just over a month now (great vac) and it came with 2 3.0 Ah batteries. Perfectly fine, and they can be readily swapped to complete a full clean of the house, on Eco mode. They recharge in about 40 mins - which is fine too. However - the extra 1.0 Ah means that a mid-clean battery swap is no longer required (for the daily clean) and leaves the 3 Ah batteries in reserve for a deep clean and the additional (maybe unexpected) things like the cars or helping out old relatives. No more monitoring of the charge LEDs. Daily clean can now complete in Auto mode with one bar left.. Note that this battery is about 25% heavier than the smaller varieties (and about 20% larger), so if you already struggle with the total appliance weight then I recommend that you put up with the slight inconvenience of swapping batteries. Also, the recharge time is obviously 30% longer. Is it worth the cost? Well - that's subjective, and dependent on whether you already have appliances that can share the battery. I don't - all my heavy battery stuff is Makita (and won't be changing). BUT - yes - I'm happy with the purchase.

Wow, lots of power! I bought this so supplement my Bosch tools with a longer-lasting power source, and this delivers! I used the Bosch extendable hedge trimmer to trim very large hedges, took me a couple of hours, and this battery still had lots of juice left when finished- for use with other tools! Slightly pricey but a good addition to the Bosch battery-powered tool set. Make sure this is the correct battery for your tools as although Bosch have standardised a lot, there are still some tools that take different battery designs, particularly if they are a little bit older.
