As someone who bakes bread 2–3 times a week, I’ve learned the hard way that not all yeast is created equal. This jar allows me to measure out exactly what I need (usually 2 4 1 tsp for a standard loaf) without wasting half a packet. The "Proof" is in the Pudding: This yeast activates quickly. Within 5–10 minutes in warm water (105°F–110°F) with a pinch of sugar, I get a thick, foamy head every time. It’s very "active" and rarely duds. I have used Red Star yeast for decades! We owned several pizza restaurants and it is the only yeast I used! Making dough at home, now, and I had to use another brand (not sure if I can say the brand) but I was not able to get consistent results from one batch to the next. With Red Star, every batch I make, comes out the same, smooth and silky, spins perfectly, nice round crust with the right amount of airiness and bubbles, same with my bread recipes! Highly recommend!
