Dress Chelsea Boots for Men & Women

Just received these boots yesterday. I was concerned in purchasing them without trying on, but am very glad I did. When first putting the boots in, you definitely have to use the tabs to get your feet into the boots as the top of the boot is tight. I believe it will just take a little time with wearing them to make that easier. Once in, they feel great. The toe area is wise and very comfortable. Even though I did not order wide, they are wide enough (I need a wide shoe) and feel great. For someone who needs a narrow shoe, you may want to order narrow. The boots look great and feel wonderful. I highly recommend.

I work using chemicals a lot. My work boots usually last only 1 year and they look start terrible after 6 months! I’ve had these several months now (since Sept ‘24) and bought them based on a workmate’s recommendation. They have been very comfortable. The 2 loops help you put them on because the opening is narrow so they are not the type that’s easy to slip into. You need both hands in my opinion and need good balance if you put them on standing or else you need to sit down. As soon as I got them I thought they were too nice for my work and that I would tear them up. So I put Neetsfoot oil on them and I recommend you do the same just to improve its waterproofing . But they have held up quite well. They still look good. I do wipe them with a microfiber weekly and have reapplied the neatsfoot oil. They are very easy to clean as they have no laces and the leather is smooth. Very good (not superb) slip resistance. I’ve used them in the snow and have not slipped but if the snow is deep I usually switch into a better snow boot. No problems in the rain. I would definitely buy them again. I think their being nicer than my past work boots has helped me take better care of them. I’ve received comments from workmates that my work boots are very nice. I bought these for $137. Not cheap, but with care I think they will last me 2-3 years.

A big fan of Blundstones since I discover them by pure chance in early ‘90 at Urban Outfitters store in NYC. Now they retail everywhere. Since then the brand became trendy in the US, although I have never seen more people on Blundstones than in Israel where they seem to be the official boot. This particular ones are very comfortable but slightly bigger and wider than expected. I have several pairs scattered in various places and love them anyway, and while the quality from the first ones is different at leather level, they are now much more comfortable. Be careful where to store this boots. After a period of non use, the soles tend to disintegrate for what they call “hydrolisis”, although they claim the problem is over now. I have to make a strong remark that In my case, every pair getting ruined by this “technical cause” was replaced for a new one. This happen with 3 (three pairs). Last pair claim, before the pair I am writing now about, was the only one that require physical evidence ( return of boots to their representative office at client’s expenses). Apparently tech issue is solved. Nevertheless, a very comfortable boot, very rough, and still wearable for everyday use Werther urban or country side.

LOVE!!! I’ve had my eye on Blundstones for a while and finally got them when they went on sale. I was a little confused by the sizing. I knew that the boots were in AUS sizing and I wear a US 9 so I wasn’t sure if the sizes were already converted or not. I ended up ordering a 9.5 and a 6.5 just to be safe as I didn’t want to miss out on the sale. The 6.5 fits perfect! I wanted them a little big so I can wear thick boot socks with them and I’m so glad I did.

So, these boots seem indestructible. I bought them for a trip and to replace some 10 year old Doc Marten chelsea boots that had holes in them. I wore them for a couple of weeks before the trip to break them in, and they seemed to lack arch support and be very tight on the top of my foot, especially instep/ankle. There was plenty of room in the toe box, which was really comfortable. I tried adding an insole for arch support. Obviously, that helped but made the instep tighter. I took the boots to a cobbler to stretch them. He did. I went on the trip. Not only did I take the insoles out almost every single day I wore them, but the instep was still rubbing even without the insole and worst of all when sitting. I get that people love Blundstones, but I think they aren't made for my foot shape. I'll keep trying to get them broken in, but they're expensive for something that causes pain.

Sizing is difficult with these boots. So I want to share my experience. I usually wear a US size 10.5 but I bought US size 9.5 in these. Basically, I know I wear a Euro size 42 because I have had multiple pairs of Birkenstock’s. These were also my third pair of Blundstone boots - the two previous pairs being a Euro 42 and a Euro 43. The Euro 43 (US size 10) was a tad bit too long but still wearable. The Euro 42 (US size 9.5) fits tighter at first but the length is perfect. I will wear thin socks when the boots are new, and they will break in to fit my feet perfectly. Why am I on my third pair of these? I wore the other two pairs daily until they wore out. When they fit these are the most comfortable, most durable, most stylish boots I have ever worn. You can wear them in the rain and mud one day and wear them on a date to a nice restaurant the next. I live in a rainy climate and I will wear them all winter. Five Star Boots. If the sizing throws you off - go to a retail store and try before you buy.

I absolutely love these boots. I bought them a year ago and I really haven’t stopped wearing them since. Perfect for New England weather. They are casual and perfect for the weekends but can dress up enough for work. They are so comfortable , when I usually find boots pretty restrictive. I get so many compliments on them!
