Easy to load the CO2 canister and easy to use. Works great and saves on all the recycling of cans and bottles.

I got this because I had just ordered several bottles for my classic soda stream and it really wasn’t working well. I didn’t want to waste the money on the cylinders so I wanted to find a low cost soda stream compatible with my blue twist on CO2 cartridges. I couldn’t find any classic soda streams on Amazon or at least not for very cheap and this came up on my suggestions and it works very well much better than my old soda stream.

Al inicio super bacano se ve como funciona, sin embargo el proceso se degrada super rapido. Compre pero no venia con el cilindro, mientras conseguia uno que le funcionara en Medellín colombia, se pasaron 15 días para ir a la fija y me lo trajeron desde Bogota, funciono correctamente. Sin embargo se descargo luego de 10 litros el cilindro. Hago la reclamación al vendedor del cilindro y que sorpresa me dan al decirme que este producto presenta muchisimos fallos al dejar media abierto el cilindro al quedarse pegado el pin y no es la primera reclamación y me dan la recomendación de no apretar el cilindro al maximo para que pueda durar más el cilindro y no se vaya a gastar. Recargo de nuevo el cilindro y no lo dejo apredatado hasta el fondo y me funciono no mas por 20 litros pero nuevamente se gasto del todo el cilindro. Y entro para hacer la devolución con ustedes y ya se me vencieron los 30 dias de devolución o reposición y me da tristeza el haber perdido la inversión y no tener una solución para el inconveniente. Por lo cual es una compra que no me valio la pena y no recomendaria que lo hicieran.

Would’ve been nice if they included a gas can so we could’ve used it right away. Also advertising the type of gas. One would buy now I have to wait two days to use it!

Received on time bust just opened. It works well with our local c02 cylinder purchased separately. At first I wondered its compatibility due to quick twist label, but it refers to the bottle not cylinder type. The description was not clear. It worked well in first few days but the lock twist mechanism started to have problem just after few refills. It just cannot hold the refill bottle and the water just burst when pump gas into it

So far so good. I have run into the issue some folks have talked about with the vent getting stuck open, but I discovered that only seems to happen if the seal is not good on the bottle. This can be remedied by re-screwing it back in, or supporting the bottle from the bottom while carbonating. I now just do this by defaul.t and showed my husband how, and we've had no problems with it since. It's an inexpensive unit compared to competitors, so I really can't complain. We've already gone through 2 of the 60L cylinders because my husband likes to carbonate all his water on top of any soda we do. So it's getting heavy use. My only real complaint is that Philips doesn't make a glass or aluminum bottle that is compatible with this model. Using plastics aside, the bottles that go to this have a 24 month lifespan and then they're supposed to be replaced. Glass and aluminum would not. However, my primary reason for choosing the Philips over competitor brands was price, and the fact that it uses screw in style CO2 cylinders. One of the leading brands is swapping almost exclusively to quick connect style which are more expensive and more difficult to get from 3rd party makers. The screw in style the Philips uses are very easy to find from many different companies at a reasonable cost, and to find companies that do a cylinder exchange program.

Item is very flimsy, had to return for a refund as the gas bottle thread was faulty and would not connect. Disappointing as Philips is normally a quality trusted brand.

Well made/good price, takes sodastream co2 bottle but not the water bottles, Philips bottles are better imo A+++++

Lasted 6 months only ! Product was nice until one day that the bottle wouldn’t screw in anymore . I dont understand how such a simple system failed but it did .
