I'm so happy I can get this in the UK, started using them in the US 20 years ago and was sad I couldn't purchase anything quite like it in other countries I moved to subsequently . I went off the pill after just one year of using , after experiencing countless side affects and leading me in fact be unable to consilcieve for 5 years afterwards. These have always aced ! No discomfort, no obstruction like with condoms ,no sticky feel like with the gels from even the same company, always did what it said on the tin, just put it in 15 minutes before-ish . The only downfall is that they're so expensive to buy here , even at a discount 18 pounds that's two pounds per sexy time 😅😁 back in the US one could buy these for 3 dollars so I can't fathom the ridiculous price up . That renders it rather unobtainable for long term partners who enjoy sex regularly, I wish I could find an alternative but the other stuff does t come close . Someone in the UK please produce this stuff a d sell it at a reasonable price please ! Thanks

Been using this a 18 months, never got pregnant using them, as soon as I missed one bam! Pregnant! So obviously I’m very fertile so these are good and I find them very reliable. Reading some of the other reviews made me laugh, especially when one person wrote about no spontaneous sex. Well if you read the instruction you see they’re affective up to 3 hours, it’s easy to insert, can’t feel it and dissolves in around 10 mins! Would highly recommend. Don’t blame me if you get pregnant though lol

I’m generally quite ‘wet’ but these do make the vaginal fluid a little dry and sticky which wasn’t a problem for me except for longer ‘encounters’. There is definitely a knack to getting the film over the cervix but for me a much more pleasant experience than using a condom whilst for a short while I couldn’t be on other more reliable forms of contraception however my partner found that his urethra would sting quite extremely even if he showered and urinated immediately after intercourse. I suppose a trial and error is needed to see if it works for you. It worked for me with no issues at all but not for my partner. The manufacturer instructions do warn that the product can cause irritation. I also work at a sexual health clinic in the UK and we don’t advise this method of contraception because of failure rates. I used for only one cycle because my partner couldn’t tolerate it, but my professional advice is that if you have already made up your mind to use this product then to ensure you are using it correctly - the majority of failures in contraception are due to user error so ensure you stick carefully and strictly to the manufacturer’s advice.

Ich habe früher (bis 2016) sehr gerne diese Patentex Oval Verhütungszäpfchen benutzt. Leider wurden sie damals vom Markt genommen und ich stand vor einem relativ großen Problem: Es gab nichts Vergleichbares zur Verhütung. 2017 ließ ich mir aus dem Grund dann die Pille verschreiben, hatte jedoch ab 2019 dadurch Beschwerden bekommen und musste sie absetzen. Mein Mann und ich begannen darauf hin mit der Daisy (Thermometer) per Temperatur Messung zu verhüten. Allerdings beginnen nun die Wechseljahre bei mir und daher funktioniert dies auch nicht mehr. Da mein Mann Diabetes hat und dadurch sehr häufig Erektionsprobleme hat, kommen Kondome überhaupt nicht in Frage. Nun bin ich auf diese Verhütungsstreifen gestoßen, die den gleichen Wirkstoff haben, wie früher diese Patentex Oval Zäpfchen. Wir haben sie nun 2x benutzt und ich kann nichts negatives dazu sagen. Die Streifen sind einzeln verpackt und werden nach Bedarf entnommen und in die Scheide eingeführt. Leider haften diese Dinger am Finger.... Es ist fummelig bis diese Streifen da bleiben, wo sie hingehören. Aber wahrscheinlich entwickelt man dafür irgendwann eine gewisse "Übung" - jedenfalls muss man dann 15 Minuten warten, wenn der Streifen in der Scheide liegt (er löst sich auf und ist nicht zu spüren) und dann steht der Liebe nichts mehr im Wege. Für uns ist diese Verhütung ein Segen und ich bin dankbar, dass man es hier bestellen kann.

Die einfachen Zäpfchen wären besser. Sind wahrscheinlich vom Markt, weil die giftigen Pillen geschluckt werden sollen.
