Very fun, creative, & clever game that is fun for all ages!
I have played almost every Yoshi game (maybe all of them) & Yoshi games in the modern era aren't meant to be difficult games. The modern Yoshi games are for all ages & I think anyone can get a lot of fun out of this one. Review: Pros: -Creativity on almost every level is wonderful -Co-op is a blast (local co-op only) -A lot of fun outfits to unlock for Yoshi to wear -While the difficuly of just going through levels isn't very hard, I will say it is a true challenge to find every secret in the game and 100% it. -Controls are simple Cons: -Not a long game if your just playing to beat the final boss -Music isn't all that great, WW on the Wii U had a much better soundtrack In the end I see this game for being a very fun, creative, & clever game that is for everyone. Kids love this game & if they get stuck & need your help, that is why the drop in & drop out co-op works great in this game. I want to give Nintendo big props for the level design in this game though, because almost every level is very creative & well done. As a Nintendo Switch owner since launch day, I consider this a very safe buy for any Nintendo Switch owner.

Great game for all ages!
I got into the Yoshi games this year. They are a great mellow game that is just pure fun. They are a platforming game focused on exploration. You can easily run through the game and beat it quickly, but the point of the game is to explore and get all the collectibles. These games are very well made. Nintendo really puts time and creativity into these games. This new Yoshi adventure is cool. The level designs are unique from other Yoshi games. The music is great and the costumes are a lot of fun. I like Yoshi Wooly World on Wii U the best. They game has more challenge than Yoshi Craft World and is great for multiplayer. Craft world is also multiplayer, but it’s a little more frustrating because it feels crowded. The characters get in each other’s way, rather than work together like in Wooly World. I also enjoy new Yoshi Island on 3ds. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I would recommend picking this up for Switch owners. However, if you have the Wii U then grab a copy of Wioly World. It’s a lot more fun and challenging.

One of our favorites
My 6 year old loves it. It's got excellent co-op that is great for kids who are not great at games. The gameplay is great and the worlds being made out of craft materials is really cute. Recommended especially for kids!

My absolute favorite!
I was fairly new to Nintendo switch when I got this game. It is easy to understand, and quick to catch on how to play. Some of the levels were very easy, while some were a little more tricky to figure out, but alot of fun when you finally did. It has a lot of replayability, and I honestly could play this game for hours on end. And I have. LoL! I think it would be a good game for a younger gamer just starting out, because there is a mode to make the game a bit easier. It is a lot of fun, and I would highly recommend.

Too Peaceful for Its Own Good
Yoshi's Crafted World is another adorable, stylish, family-friendly platformer from the developer behind Kirby's Epic Yarn, and Yoshi's Wooly World. I had a lot of fun with it but ultimately felt Good-Feel back-peddled a little bit from Wooly World. Yoshi's Wooly World was clearly channeling Yoshi's Island for the SNES but Crafted World is much closer to Yoshi's Story for the N64. It's still a side-scroller but you're occasionally able to go forwards and backwards into the environment. It's extremely limited, unfortunately and left me yearning for a true 3D Yoshi. The other way in which this game resembles Yoshi's Story is that it's much less focused on platforming and more focused on exploration and puzzle solving. This gives Crafted World a much more relaxed feeling than every Yoshi game that's come before. Unfortunately, this relaxed gameplay combined with the lack of challenge makes it hard to stay engaged with Crafted World. I played through the entire game in 2-player with my roommate and we generally only played for an hour or two before getting bored. The difficulty thankfully does escalate so give it a few hours to pick up steam. If you've played the demo, you'll know what I'm talking about. It is thankfully not THAT easy for its entireity. One great addition is the costumes. Like Mario Odyssey, you now accumulate money between stages, which can be used to purchase costumes for Yoshi. Unfortunately, the main way in which Crafted World takes a step back is with its 100% quest. While Wooly World on the Wii U had me playing to 100% completion with a sensible amount of optional collectibles, Crafted World immediately drowns you in collectibles and dull side-missions. Every level has 5-10 flowers in the open, as well as flowers for obtaining all 20 red-coins, finishing the level at full-health, 4 more for playing each level in reverse, as well as hide-and-seek objectives I never participated in. It's absolute overkill, requiring you to play stages over and over and over that will only draw the most dedicated completionists. One specific oddity is that you're not able to get collectibles you missed when playing the reverse-stage, which seems like a missed opportunity to lessen the tedium. You need to obtain flowers to progress through the game but the required number is very low and you thankfully only need about 50% of the total to get the final challenge levels. I happily stopped playing after these challenge levels as I felt I'd seen everything the game had to offer. It seems to me that Good-Feel was aware of how mundane its extra content was so they only required you to dip your toes in it. I'm left wondering why they didn't instead offer less content but make it actually worth your time. Yoshi's Crafted World is a delightful platformer, that's generally pretty enjoyable but only hits a high note a few times in its 10-15 hour quest. It wants to focus more on exploration but is still chained to the second dimension, while its platforming and 100% quest are a notable step backwards. It's a good time but hard for me to recommend over Mario Odyssey or Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, even for a younger gamer.

A cute and whimsical Yoshiki game to play with another player (on the same set, not via online). A fun and easy game for players (or young players) who don’t have much gaming experience.
