I bought this for my apartment living room and this unit cools down the room in no time! Easy to install, it's quiet and works amazing!

I've been using this AC unit for 3 weeks now and have been very impressed with it. The dehumidify feature is fantastic and the fact the water goes out the exhaust vent instead of needing to be drained regularly is next level. The sleep mode is great and keeps the room temperature perfect throughout the entire night. The window kit fit my window perfectly and I was able to easily get a perfect seal around it on my window which was a huge thing for me with the help of some tape. It is a very powerful unit that easily cools my room without needing to constantly run the compressor. I believe its claim of handling up to 350 square feet easily, it could possibly do more. For my use case I no longer wanted a window unit and this is a perfect alternative. I love that I can select a temp and the unit will maintain the room there on its own. The sound level is comparable to a hotel ac unit its not quiet by any means but its not ridiculously loud either. Similar to a loud box fan but also consistent with no loud rattling. I'm used to sleeping with the white noise so I find it soothing at night. The filters are easy to slide out and clean, I like how they are positioned in the unit they will catch any incoming debris. I saw in some reviews people received theirs with the wheels broken but this was not the case with mine all 4 are intact and working fine. Value for money wise I don't think I could have found a better unit this one is perfect for my use case cooling a bedroom during the summer this thing moves air. Also a tip for anyone using this unit if you're using fan only mode do not use the vent hose, the fan air blows the hardest out of the vent hose port on fan only mode it is an incredibly powerful fan. Another tip is the unit really only needs using on the lower fan speed setting. It is quieter, moves tons of air, more efficient, and in AC mode the air has more time to pass over the cooling services allowing the air to become cooler before exiting the unit. I typically don't write product reviews but I was so impressed by the unit and blown away at the low rating that I had to include my own. I can tell the low 4 star product rating is from the broken wheels mainly and that is an unfortunate flaw for many but it appears to have been fixed on the packaging for the unit now. Black + Decker or Amazon if you want to hook with up with more AC units to test out this summer I'll gladly accept, review, and post videos!

I find the air conditioner to be very effective. Am surprised how cold the air is coming out. It cools a large bedroom down very quickly. It is comparable to a window unit on the noise level. Don't expect it to be quiet, it is an air conditioner. I do like the power on timer feature. I didn't think we would use it, but it turns out we use it almost every night. We also use the sleep timer function, but that isn't as essential as the power on timer. Haven't seen yet what impact it will have on the electric bill. Biggest complaint is the window frame hardware. I get it is challenging to make it universal. They supply two types of gasketing. One you will throw away and continue to curse at it even as it lays in your trash. It is horrible. The other gasket is right for the application. I could not get the window hardware to seal up properly in my frames. I even bought alternate gasketing and still struggled. What I did that I liked was to get the hardware mounted as good as possible in my window, and then use aluminum foil HVAC duct tape all around the perimeter. This seals everything up, prevents any bugs from coming in, and keeps everything in place.

I bought this for my son's room. It definitely makes the room COLD! Pretty easy to install. My son's room size is 12x12. I don't feel it's great for being portable since it does need to be installed through a window.

Barely does anything for my tiny bedroom (<200 sq ft), quite loud, but I guess it's cheap and convenient

Ugh. So disappointed. I bought like new. I don't expect perfection but almost everything was damaged. 1 wheel broken. Dent window kit. Dents on unit. The plug for drain line cut off. Terrible. This should have been 50 bucks. Now I did took off all the wheels and dragggggg this unit across the room to test it out. It did cool my small office room within an hr. It's 104 in Phoenix. Took 2 hrs to cool down to 82 degrees. Not bad but disappointed. I contacted the company if I can at least get a wheel for free. Debating to return this.

Good looking unit delivers fresh dry cool air that relaxes and uplifts. I have asthma and hay fever and this black and decker ac is better than the building hvac (it's replacing) so im impressed enough to consider another. It is very quiet and makes only the slightest noise like a new ac. It rolls very easy from room to room and window reattaching is easier than I thought due to the easily expendable windows panel that holds the vent. Super easy set up is made possible by parts that fit and great design. I like this one for being slim and boxy. I might get another for a different room. Very pleased

Does it work? Yes! Was it easy to set up? Yes! Am I keeping it? Absolutely not. Without a doubt, one of the loudest AC units I've ever come across. I can barely tolerate being in the same room as it. There's no way Id be able to fall asleep with it running

Love this AC unit (8500 BTU). It's surprisingly efficient. But please take note the window kit IS FOR A SLIDING WINDOW frame, NOT for rolling windows. Otherwise I would've given it a 5 stars rating.
