The first time I used it, it paid for itself. If I didn’t have this too with me at the time when I did the strut replacement, it would be a headache to try to do it without it.

This tool worked great to help me replace my struts. The material is heavy and will last a long time. The value for this is worth the price. If you have a stubborn knuckle this tool with help release the strut. Easy to use and have two options to use the tool .

I will give it -5 if I could, this “tool” is junk, I tried to use it in a steering knuckle made out of aluminum and after a couple trials using the tool in the proper way it was more twisted than a Mexican churro. Don’t waste your time and money with this product.

Amazing tool for getting the strut out of the knuckle. Especially for VW vehicles. I am very satisfied with it. And it survived so I'll definitely keep it in my toolbox.

Used this to spread the knuckle on my 2012 Ford Focus (MK3), and it worked quite well. It was sturdy and held in place through the removal and re-installation of the strut. It's a very simple mechanism/tool so it works decently well, especially for the price. One thing of note is that the spreader end seems somewhat thick. If the gap in your suspension knuckle is less than ~5mm then this might not fit.

Perfect for taking struts out of German cars! Makes the job so much easier removing and installing struts.

Works great to spread the spindle just enough to slide the strut out. A little lube and it’s easy peasy!

I needed to open knuckle to take out control arm on Q5 2011, the space is less than 5mm. I had to push open with DIY tool to be able to squeeze in. Afrer the tool worked but I could do it with DIY tool. I am keeping this tool anyway for the struts that are bigger than 5mm.
