852 in 1 Super Cartridge Multicart compatible with NES Collection games : desertcart.co.uk: PC & Video Games Review: The cartridge arrived on time exactly as described. It was in a bubble wrap envelope and the cartridge itself is new. Works beautifully! There is a note at the bottom of the screen to hit select to access the other half of the game selection. They have the Final Fantasy games and the first 2 Zelda games on it! The Zelda games are titled “Zelda 1” & “Zelda 2” not the Adventures of Link or anything like that. It also has Metroid, Rampart, Jaws, and so many other classic games. Nostalgia heaven, however, it is missing the Mario series and the original “North and South”. Review: The 852-in-1 cartridge works pretty well. Better than I expected; however, there are some limitations that must be understood in order to accept how this cartridge works. 1. The cartridge has the ability to save games that originally had a save function; like Maniac Mansion or The Legend of Zelda; The cartridge can only save one game at a time; Example: play one game, save said game, then play another game and save it, but then the status of the first game is gone. 2. Just like in the first version of NES games with a save feature, like The Legend of Zelda, the reset button of the console must be pressed and held while the console is being switched off; failure to do this has the potential of erasing the save file of the last game that was saved. 3. The cartridge has zero tolerance for random power surges, like rapidly turning the console on and off; doing so will erase the save file of a game. 4. If you plan to use a unofficial NES console, like a Yobo or a Hyperkin, remember that not all consoles are created equal; using clone consoles can produce unexpected results; Example: Playing Maniac Mansion, included with the 852-in-1 cartridge, does NOT function properly when I play it on 3 out of 4 of my clone consoles. If you're trying to play the 852-in-1 cartridge on a Hyperkin RetroN 5 HD, where the ROMs first has to be dumped to the memory of the console, there's a good chance that said cartridge won't work; maybe a firmware update can fix said issue. For the traditionalists out there, fear not; the 852-in-1 cartridge will work with a original NES. 5. This is very important; the backup battery might be dead on arrival; it happened to me; my save states would randomly disappear, even when I would take care to press and hold the reset button on the console when I turn said console off. Replacing the CR2032 lithium coin cell fixed that problem. Said backup battery is held in place on the PCB of the cartridge with a quick release socket; no soldering required. You get what you pay for. I know that I was going cheap; I didn't want to pay over 100 dollars for a Everdrive N8 Pro. So I spent my money and took my chances. I read that there is a newer version of the 852-in-1 cartridge that uses flash memory to save game states instead of a battery backup. Wish I knew that before I bought the one that I already did. I'll say this; it was a bargain considering what I paid for it; $60 for 852 games; non of which are duplicates; that's 7 cents per game. Quite a bargain. And it gives me a chance to play a game, and decide if I like it, before spending more money for the genuine article.

5 stars, I'm sure it's great, but it would not load in my RetroN 5 HD... says it couldn't load the ROM.

Games were glitchy and some were unplayable.
