Had a small issue with my mini PC, but GMK’s customer service was truly 10 out of 10. Julian, the sales and customer support manager, went above and beyond, super helpful and shipped a replacement incredibly fast. The computer itself is great, fast, compact, and works exactly as expected. Outstanding service from an awesome company. I’d absolutely buy from them GMK without hesitation! This review is about the GMKtec Mini PC Intel Core i9 12900HK(14C/20T 5.0 GHz) W11 Pro, Desktop Computer 32GB DDR4 RAM+1TB NVMe SSD, Triple 4K Display, WiFi 6, BT5.2, USB-C M3 Plus PC. How I got to this unit is a bit of a story. In March of this year, I finally after reading all kinds of reviews decided on the GMKtec M5 Plus Gaming Mini PC Ryzen 7 5825U (Upgraded 5700U), 32GB RAM 1TB SSD Windows 11 Pro Dual NIC LAN 2.5GbE Desktop Computers, Triple 4K Display PC . Within 5 days the BIOS went on it and a great team at GMKtec sent me a new SSD from the manufacture this took 3 weeks from China. Once that was installed and up and running within 3 weeks it blue-screened and was not user repairable, so this was sent back and once the refund was deposited into my account, I then ordered the M3. NOTE: In the USA one can get a replacement unit from Amazon , but not in Canada Eh! So, once the M3 was delivered it also suffered a catastrophic failure. Turns out that Mini-PCs don’t like an external DVD burner directly attached to it, but must be hooked up to a self powered USB Hub. This even though the burner manufacture says to not use a hub, but to directly plug in to PC/ Laptop. Since I could not get a replacement through Amazon Canada this unit was sent back also and an identical M3 was purchased. GMKtec had advised me to create a rescue “WINPE” USB key at this time and thank goodness that I did as it was needed on the final M3 when I discovered that it also did not like any USB Hub connected that was not powered and blue-screened about 5 days after I got it. That’s where this rescue key not only restarted the PC but left all my hard work intact. So, here we are 3 weeks later after this M3 arrived and all seems well with only one time needing to use that rescue key now that I finally understand that these Min-PCs do not have a PSU like desktop PCs have and that if you are going to use 10 HDDs like me then use powered hubs and if one of those drives is a external SSD then access and then remove after or the next time the PC is turned back on you will get a blue-screen and need that rescue key again. I should also mention that I also upgraded the RAM to 64GB and this thing moves along quite briskly. All through this ordeal I must say that the GMKtec support was outstanding and that is the reason that I stuck with GMKtec Min-PCs.

Have been using these for several months now and must say I am very happy with the quality and performance. They sure help save space.

I have had this for four months and it's working well. The metal case is nice and the shiny top gives it a premium look. However the fan is quite loud, revving up and down intermittently, so much so that it would be annoying for my home office. Instead I use it as a Proxmox server to tinker around with various VMs and LXCs and put it in my basement where the fan noise does not disturb anyone. Bottom line, powerful processor with a integrated GPU - however the fan noise is too loud for a tranquil office.

This unit was good, until it wasn’t. I’m using it at work to run one program and one program only.. nothing intensive. Within a week the bios screen would randomly appear, but after a reboot it would go away. Just the other day, it happened again, this time it didn’t go away. I don’t know if it’s windows, or hardware failure, but for it to be happening so soon is unacceptable. I purchased because it was “Amazon Recommended”. I should have returned immediately. it’s 15 days past the return window, and I’m stuck with a brick, and the task of setting up another computer. Crickets from support. I wholeheartedly do NOT RECOMMEND.
