Works very well. The chalk holder is sturdy and holds the chalk pretty tight so it doesn’t come loose. It can easily be pushed out when you need more chalk. I love the chalk holder as it prevent my toddler from getting chalks all over his hands. The chalk/chalk holder is perfect size for a toddler to easily hold it.

Our toddler wanted to lick the chalk and the big chalk holders dropped the chalk and broken pieces wouldn't stay inside. This was exactly what we needed.

Inexpensive but well enough made chalk holders that will serve you well. They are probably not going to last forever, but are plenty good for occasional use. My only complaint is that the holders come with cheap chalk that breaks easily. For those teachers who avoid white boards and markers with volatile vapors (Cancer?), these will be OK for awhile if you use standard school chalk.

These are okay for kids but not great quality. The chalk provided is low quality. I feel like you need really sturdy and high quality for it to work well in this chalk holder. It’s not as sleek and easy to hold as some that are higher quality.

2 1/2 year olds love it, not messy😊
