Excellent espresso machine
I really love this espresso machine. It’s very easy to use, heats up quickly, and the coffee has great flavor and crema. The steam wand works perfectly for frothing milk and making cappuccinos at home. It has a modern, compact design that looks great in the kitchen. Excellent quality for the price, highly recommended

Great espresso machine for the price, it’s quality
This is a fantastic espresso machine for the price category. I’ve owned a couple different brands and this is by far the nice. Quick, efficient, and makes a nice hot double shot in less than 30 seconds, with plenty of frothy foam. I never thought I would find a decent replacement for my old krups machine which was a tank. This thing is quickly becoming one of my favorite kitchen gadgets.

Game changer!!
This espresso machine has been a game changer/ life saver! It’s so easy to use. I don’t hardly get coffee anywhere else now. Just use some good local coffee beans and you’ll be set! You gotta work the grind settings per coffee bean size that I’ve learned. But she’s a 1000/100

Good for the price
Works well. Crews hot coffee and steams milk well. Does sometimes overheat and when making multiple drinks and steaming. Overall great entry espresso machine

Underdog Espresso Maker - Must Purchase, Grinder, Adj Brew Temp, 3L Water, 2 Baskets, Funnel
* Update 1 Jan 26: Use nearly any puck screen to help with every shot if you've been failing with this Chefman. I've used the stock plus another so 2 different portafilters both favoring puck screens which a major advantage of using a puck screen is more even water distribution across the coffee puck, which leads to more consistent extraction, more resistance * My Chefman Crema Supreme Espresso Maker $279.99 has 15 bar pump, 30 Settings - CONICAL BURR GRINDER, 58 mm Portafilter, 4 Adjustable Brew Temp control/settings (194F, 198F, 201F and 205F), Milk Frother, Water Capacity 3 Liters = 101 oz, Wattage: 1,450 watts, espresso accessories including a milk pitcher, nice tamper, 2 Baskets (7 gr and 18 gr), cleaning tools and a grinding funnel. I've been only using for a month or so but she's working 20+ coffee-type drinks daily for dialing in 8 coffee types, roasts, milk drinks. Already had to descale a day ago and we have great water. Sure $280 is great and I bought a 3-year extended warranty for $30 ensuring joy. I had a tiny 4 cup Braun Espresso in 1996 while assigned overseas in Belgium and now just getting back into the Coffee world. Learning lots via Youtube and ChatGPT, books, others. I see lots of brew methods, types and techniques in my future. I'm going to buy and try quite a bit, maybe even some fun reviews are the way ahead. If Chefman fails, I'll be going up into the $500-1,000 machine category. I'm 53, new to the coffee craft but started drinking it in 2nd grade/10 years old due to hyperactivity which coffee impacts differently for some. I document/log some coffee data as I progress through this stuff or I'd never get to drink a cup since ya need training if dialing in 8 coffees esp on a new machine. I also have a Cuisinart Single-Serve Coffee Maker + Coffee Grinder with K Cup and my daily 32 oz French Press. My Rig, Jam, Coffee Setup, Accessories are below. Your puck prep needs to be spot on to get certain values. You don't need to spend what I did but $50 tamper or stir distribution that ensures consistency for 5-10 years is a win. She came with a heavy duty tamper but uneven pucks are real. Also these Amazon items work with our Chefman. I can help anyone get it right just reply and let me know. ~ RainMan's Roast Chefman Crema Supreme Espresso Maker Doses 16-17 gr (18 gr has to be superb puck prep) Yield 36-60 gr Grinder Settings 11-14 Grinder Settings After Normcore 58.5mm Puck Screen 1.7 mm 13-15 According to ChatGPT I like ratio 1:4 and appears true. So far a great alternative to pricier machines.
So far so good! I was skeptical because of the price, and was having a hard time choosing between getting this or waiting for the Breville Barista Express to go on sale again. I chose the Crema supreme over this years model, the crema deluxe, because I couldnt find very many reviews, and was very skeptical of the price given it had a double boiler. Most double boiler models are around $1600 or more so the deluxe model really just seemed to good to be true, and the supreme was the safer option. I did a lot of research prior to buying in order to understand how to operate a machine of this caliber, as its not as simple as a your run of the mill keurig or nespresso. If you are wanting a push a button, have decent coffee machine, this wont be for you. There is a learning curve and it requires patience and a little wasted coffee. I have never used a semi automatic machine before. Even considering that, it only took me 2 tries to get the machine into espresso pressure range and make a decent shot of espresso. I've had lattes made with the ninja lux and I think the coffee out of this was better and less bitter. Its certainly better when you consider this machine is half the cost. The only gripe I had was I felt that the milk pitcher was comically small, and I probably will replace it eventually. The 58mm portafilter is large and I imagine it may be harder to find aftermarket accessories for it. It is also shorter than the dimensions given in the description. I have about 3 inches of clearance above the hopper under my upper cabinets that are 19inches from the counter. I am hoping with good upkeep and cleaning, which is also an every day maintenance for machines like this, will mean it will last a long time. Im not sure it will rival brevilles average of 3ish plus years but I am hoping! I will probably update at 6 months to a year as i had a hard time finding people who continued to update thier experience.
