Stahlsac Smuggler

I ordered 2 of these bags so my son and I could bring all of our gear to a trip to the Florida Keys. I was surprised just how big this bag was. It was so big in fact, that I was able to get 2 sets of full size fins, 2 Scubapro Hydro Pro BCDs, and 2 shorty wetsuits in ONE BAG and still remain under 50 pounds. We carry our regulators, computers and masks as carry-ons. And speaking of carry-ons, this bag is not a carry-on, its too big and must be checked. As far as the construction, it is solid material with sturdy zippers and extra large pockets for tools, lights etc. The retractable handle is sturdy (not flimsy) and wheels solid and roll without friction.. I have no doubt that our gear will be protected in this bag.

This bag is much larger than I had anticipated. It easily fits all of my scuba gear including my Molokini Reg bag and multiple towels/rash guards. I've not used it for anything other than completely cleaned/dried equipment so I cannot speak to whether it weathers like most Stahlsacs for carrying wet equipment. This does not have a dry compartment...

Plenty of room for a full set of gear. I can pack fins, full length XL wet suit, BCD (a regular one - not a lightweight travel model) and all the smaller gear and still have room in the upper zippered compartment for some shoes or clothing. All packed, it weighs in at around 40 pounds, so no overweight baggage fees from the airlines. I’ve flown three round trips with it so far, and it still looks like it did the day I got it.

I picked this bag based on other reviews. I'm very happy with the size and weight. I was tiring a huge bag and barely making weight at the airlines. I came in at 43 pounds with this bag and I could have stuffed a few more things in it. I don't believe I could carry two sets of dive gear though. I use scuba pro jet fins and a scubapro X one BCD. I had my mask, wet suit, and a few bathing suits in the bag. I always have a carry on for my reg, cameras, dive lights, etc. This bag is perfect for my needs.

Just big enough for my full set of dive gear. Seems well made. I’ll see after my trip in a couple of weeks how it holds up to airline handlers

Awesome bag. Very light yet durable. This is the 2nd bag like this in our family. Will buying 2 more for the rest of the family that dives. Offers enough space for all gear yet when fully loaded it doesn’t weigh too much so that the airlines charge you extra.

Just bought this bag for a dive trip to the Galapagos. It's a very sturdy bag and holds all my gear and some. The zipper pulls are also big enough to use TSA cable locks on them which was a plus as well. Love the pink highlights as well.

I already owned this bag; bought a second one for my husband. Super high quality and very easy to use while traveling. This price is amazing (I paid almost 100 more in a retail dive shop).
